I've never mentioned him not being entitled to his payoff. In fact I highlighted it as a reason for him not resigning.

When I say 'attractive' I mean favourable personality traits. I would definitely struggle to work with him given those traits I mentioned. He has a complete refusal to even entertain the idea that his way might not be the only way. :50:

I actually think mulgrew may be a shout in a 433 as a dm, Bitton and johansen / rogic/ mcgregor/Armstrong type player as the third cm.

Roberts and forrest out wide and Griffiths up top

And im not big on mulgrew, but it could work better.

Wholeheartedly disagree with this, he's had plenty of chances. He's still making the same mistakes and is so tactically inept it's frightening.

I honestly think people like the 'idea' of Ronny and his philosophy and cannot separate it from the reality, which is in stark contrast.

If anyone follows big Hartson on facebook give his video a wee watch. Sums it up perfectly to be honest, well spoken and you can see he's in pain like the rest of us.

Unable to set up as a defensive unit... I said the same thing months ago.

Especially the games in Europe when we needed to be tough to break down, even in games we won you could see it, it was just a question whether or not the opposition had the guile and quality to punish us for it

He's spot on, every corner they got last night they looked like scoring, our defence was all over the place.

For me, and many folk, no he doesnt.
He has a say, but from what is known, its very little.

Ronny (or manager, as it happened with lennon as well), states what position he needs a player for "striker". The scouts then go to their expansive database and bring up all strikers.
Further scouting will be done and a short list is presented to manager (say 10 for example). Manager then will prioritise his order of those 10, hands the list to lawwell who then runs the rule over them regards finances. Typically anyone (this the biased assumption in me) costing more than 1.5million is scored off (probably ronnys first four options), then any player that is too old/doesnt look likely to return a profit, is rejected (another 3 players). We are then left with 3 plauwrs, likely in the bottom 5 options the manager has selected from a list given to him by the scouts.

Lawwell then goes and attempts to make a deal for one of them.

    We get Carlton Cole.

Some will disagree with that, but from what deila has said in interviews with Chris sutton, from what Peter Houston has said about his time as a scout here, from why lennon chucked it and from what Peter lawwell him self tells us about signing policy, thats a safe bet of what happens.

Yea deila will OK a transfer and in theory he picks the list (given to him by scouts) but lawwell is the one rulling out the players and calling the shots.

Messi, finnbogasson, Fletcher, soriano and kazim-richards could be a list given to ronnny, who may organise it that way.
Lawwell scores off Messi quite obviously. Finnbo he enquires about amd bolks at the 5mill value. Fletcher he hears about the wages and soriano is too old to sell on.
That leaves kazim -Richards, a player thar happens to be on the list by chance but certainly isnt the managers first option.

He will of course OK it, as the other option is no striker.

No idea how that happened, he was on trial for a few weeks and looked a few stone overweight on his debut and knackered after 15 minutes.

That sort of messes what you're trying to say a bit. Carlton Cole is old and has no resale value. Not the best example
