I'd expect him to at least be on what Scott Brown is on just now, back then we had a few players in and around £30k a week. That's back to our board and asking the question of if the wage structure is working for us. My answer to that is definitely no, I'd want us to re-structure a bit.

We won't though, so we'll get guys like Cole in instead.

Experience is required though, we have a lot of projects and competition for places, which in itself breeds a winning mentality, to an extent..

I'm happy to bring in projects as long there is some supplement with experience..

For example, only as an example mind(before you all jump down my throat). I feel we need a full back who can play on both flanks, someone like Phil Bardsley?

And I think it's essential we bring experience along with youth to the DM role..

No he is one notch above the peak category I am on about. The metrics in soccornomics which is the moneyball of football are (im paraphrasing as its been a while since i read it):

Never sign 18-20 year old as its impossible to predict how they will turn out as professional

    Sign 21-26 year olds

Never Sign 27-30 year olds as their value only decreases

Sign over the hill players as they can still provide value for lower the price

Sign players from the middle class rather than the working class as they are undervalued

Sign players from unfancied markets as they are undervalued.

What we need is experience in Europe, someone like Bardsley hasn't been there. We need to look at the smaller teams that are consistently in the Europa I think, it's not Champions League experience but it's still Europe.

Aye don't disagree with that..use him as example of a full back who can play both flanks with Premiership and International experience..

So you admit it then? I can let it slide but when you blatently lie and say you didnt call me a hun I have to challenge it. In no universe is calling me orc1 not calling me a hun.

It is if you follow it to a tee like we do which is my main gripe. I am not against using undervalued players but we actively cut loose the like of Barry Robson etc when they are still useful. I dont see why we cant implement some of the moneyball strategy but still have a core amount of players that are in the experience/peak bracket I am talking about it. We dont have to be in it all the way, we can use it and still use old school approaches to team building. Sometimes a team has to invest in itself which is what we do with paying Scott Brown what we do. We need more like Brown that is what I am saying as their value on the park is intangible.

No we don't, we invest a lot in the 18/21 market.

The metric could be 17-19. I cant remember exactly but the point is that if they are talented but too young you dont know what kind of professional they will turn out to be therfore it is adised not to sign them when too young, thinking back 19 might be the cusp of when to get them. We do follow that model very closely. It's been years since I read that book so I recommend you to pick up a copy and give it a read. It is interesting to read a book about football from a non footballing person, statistics & economics is the authors background.

You called me Orc1 you tube. I could go back a page or two to find it if I wanted to but im not that sad. I wouldnt be surprised if you were sad enough to go back and edit it.

Calling me orc1 is the same as calling me a hun. It is like if I call someone a Rangers fan and then deny calling them a hun because I never technically said the word "hun".

You told me to go back to hun forums and you called me orc1. What you were doing is implying that I am a Rangers supporter or not a Celtic supporter. Orc is another name for hun. Stop being pedantic and just admit to it. Im not gonna report you anyway and if they did ban you I would again ask them to reconsider as I dont think you are the full shilling and no offence was caused. But when you weasel out and lie it's a different story as you make yourself look even more foolish than usual.
