    Recent results domestically have been good, there's no doubting that, however the acid test for Celtic and for Deila as a manager will be next August in the CL qualifiers, and resultant CL campaign (hopefully). Only then will we have any sort of idea if sticking him after the Europa League campaign was the correct move or not.

    In all honesty, I think it would be a mistake to put too much weight into domestic results when it comes to assessing our European capabilites, we saw the exact same improvement in performances this time last year and still looked miles out of our depth in Europe.

    True. Adam Matthews was more composed than some players with twice his experience.

    We need characters like Brown to drag the youngsters through tricky European ties. Stand up and be counted basically. I find though that players in their peak are best for this.
