    It was. Still stands......you could say they've steadily improved with all. Much like Swansea before Monk..

    International football is completely different. His stint at Celtic was well financed. That cannot be denied.

    Rodgers wouldn't come here anyway he thinks in his head he could still get a decent job in England so let him do that

    Does Ronny's previous years in club management, apart from the year he won the league with Strom, not count then. ?:31:

    Maybe but to suggest he wouldn't improve us or isn't capable (which I've seen plenty) is well off in my opinion..

    I'm just pointing out that Moyes isn't exactly Guardiola. Why OG1 would look at what Moyes has done and claim unequivocally that he would see us through to the Champions League group stages is beyond me.

    The man has failed previously in his last two appointments.

    It's hard to play his style of football in this country though so many teams park the bus and the main problem he had with Liverpool was finding a way to break through easy with Suarez but he found it tough when he left

    A lot of people would say the hustle and bustle style of the championship, is much like Scottish football and he had that to a tee with Swansea..

    Losing arguably the best striker in the world, is never gonna be easy. He struggled with the massive amount of funds he had at his disposal and also lost Sturridge and a pretty finished Liverpool captain and legend..

    I don't deny his stint was well financed but the point I am trying to make is that he can get a team to punch above its weight. Why should he not spend if it is available.

    International football might be different but that does not mean it is easier. The way Ireland beat more talented team in Germany and Bosnia is exactly what I would hope to see Celtic do in Europe

    Yeah, but in the case of his time at Celtic he was operating with a healthy budget, wasn't he?

    He also spent heavily at Villa, although not with much success.

    His spending at Celtic was successful his ability to operate with an EPL budget is not relevant to us.

    I am not talking about his ability to spend money though. What would you have him do if he is offered funding?

    Ronny is a coach, who is learning to become a manager imo,I think he could do with an experienced mentor.Remember Lennon said he was thinking of asking Ronny to be his number 2.

    Your initial point was;

    My counter was that it was said he would need big money, and he got that money to spend. My other point was that winning things with a club side is different from international management.

    MON is a better manager, plus I think Keane really helped him with the Ireland job. International management is much different though.
