First of all, thats just not Ronny. He has always been a type that sees his project through. And, he dislikes English football. I think there has to be some big Spanish or German team that would take him away from Celtic, but not for a long time yet. I think Ronny wants to become a Celtic legend (not that it really matters to him).. And in his eyes, and in the world eye, Celtic is a massive club, even though the cash is strapped compared to England.

Knowing (what little I do know) about Ronny, he would like for Celtic to change "in his image" and not need him there. And then I am thinking the whole structure of the club.

I also read this little interview with him talking about Norwegian players, and if they are good enough for Celtic. He mostly wants Scottish yougsters (players) and will be trawling the Scottish league for players that will fit the bill. The only Norwegian player I could (perhaps) see coming in is Anders Konradsen from Rennes, because he has coached him before and Johansen and Konradsen where a excellent tandem in Strømsgodset... My 2 cents

Although I know this kind of posting come from a good place, this kind of hyperbole should be avoided just as much as the get Ronny out" brigade earlier this year.

We've done pretty good against Inter Milan and suddenly we are "looking as good as other European teams easily"? That's nonsense, we are completely untested at the level we want to be. Include Inter at that level and we have played 1 game at home where we done well but shipped 3 goals and 26 minutes where we looked good in the San Siro - that's it. Much more to play before we can attempt to judge this in any kind of context.

We are certainly fitter but now all of a sudden we are "fitter than many in the UK"? Again their is completely no context for this. Our fitness has been lagging behind anyone outside of Scotland up until about 2 months ago. Now we are fitter than most teams in the UK? Staggering.

Next we are not just simply "making the knockout stages in the UCL, but progressing further"?? Tell you what, let's just focus on getting past the qualifiers first, after all last time we tried that we got roundly * off of most people we played.

I find it strange where the flip from "Ronny's a Grade A Plum" to "Ronny is clearly the next Pep Guardiola destined to lead us to Euro Glory."

The transition from one to the other has taken about 6 weeks roughly, going by some of the posts on here. How did that happen?

Again, this knee * extremism is what the "Ronny out" brigade was doing early and that seems to have manifested itself the other way now.

Why can't we just enjoy the football we are playing and look forward to the near future with a bit of optimism? Do we always need to be at one extreme or the other? Personally I am just buzzing to go to the next game as I'm enjoying it again, immensely so.

    Yours, Buzz Killington :50:

PS - Honda, apologies. This isn't meant to be a personal attack on you but just a general comment on these type of posts. :86:

It's a long talk about his leadership philosophy. I think I posted a summary of it somewhere on here, but can't remember where.

I might be mad but I honestly feel we have one of the smartest mangers in world football. I have never been so impressed or enticed in what other managers had to say about football. However with Ronny when he is talking I feel like every word is gospel and I should be writing it down.

I believed from the start of his tenure that I thought he was special, i've had some small doubts but the way he talks always gives me confidence and i cant help but feel we have won a watch here and are onto something really special.

No manager has excited the fans like this since O'neil.

I agree with you totally but it's important to stay grounded and not heap too much expectation on him. If he fails to qualify for the CL next season, he'll still be the same special manager in my eyes but some people won't be able to help themselves and will be back to hounding him out.

I wouldn't swap Ronny Deila with any manager right now except maybe your Guardiolas or Mourinhos. Maybe being the key word.

Part and parcel of being a Celtic fan is understanding a fair few Celtic fans are idiots and are almost like not huns but you get the comparison. I want him here till I die. Ronny's press conferences always leave me feeling like I've came up on a pill.

Like seriously dafuq. This man is a genius, in my mind now there is no point about being grounded, he is head and shoulders above every Celtic manager since Stein may i say. I'm talking in terms of intelligence, not in what they have done.

There is a humongous trend in football managers in that they need to have played football professionally before. To me this is ridiculous, to be a manager is incredibly different than being a good footballer. This trend in football managers needs to stop and it will eventually but not just now.

We have got really lucky in sussing out a guy who we can all tell is perfection in his personal life, his values and morals. The only reason he is like this is from being an incredibly smart guy and im happy to have him at the club for as long as he wants. He epitomises Celtic values in a modern sense.

didnt mean that thumbs down btw sorry. You're post is great, but i dont know how to change mine.

It's interesting to see the change in tone from the journalists too at that press conference. It's changed from "Do you really have what it takes" to "A lot of people think you have something special. Do you see yourself as a special manager?"

Cheers VB , like everyone else I love listening to him.

Very interesting at the end he was talking about high intensity running and how it has been upped 40% since 6 months ago and the fact that he thinks we can still do more... I love the fact that even though we have the best players in the league he demands them to be the fittest and hardest working team as well.

I love listening to him. He knows exactly what he wants. He's articulate, charming, honest and very sure of himself.

I loved the way he handled the treble questions, confident but respectful and very mindful not to place to much emphasis on it, yet still managing to say yes, we should win it.

Thought his Guidetti answer was interesting, especially if the dutch interview is true.

Am I halucinating or is his left eye ever so slightly lower than his right eye?

I saw a look in his eye at the Guidetti question. I don't think he's injured.

The next 2-4 weeks will be a big indicator of where Guidetti's future lies.

    Enough about that.

You said eyes so I put it to you, is one eye of his lower than the other?

Tell me I'm not tripping. :smiley-laughing002:
