Yes I did because we would have got the money, and it would not have set us back years, but the board has * us and our manager * us with his formation and tactics tonight.

But the goal isnt just to beat the smaller teams in the qualifiers is it. We want to compete in the group stages maybe not win but compete not get gubbed thats a point maybe not yours but a valid one none the less. And yes if things had went better as of tomorrow it could have been real.

The only goal Celtic PLC have had for many years is qualify for group stages....nothing more.

To be fair, why single out Stefan. The whole team was bad.

Stefan needs players around him moving and running in position (good readers of the game) for him to get to use his strength, which is quick passes and long crosses. When your teammates are standing still and you have to make passes backwards and sideways (with players pressing) because you haven't got anyone moving forward or anyone passing to you when you make a run, this happens.
He needs better players around him so his strenghts will be at use. In this forum I read one day that a player is brilliant, the next day he is garbage and you want to get rid of him. :87:

The facts are we need to make it there each year, and get the money first and foremost we all know this and I know you do too. I would rather beat the wee teams each season and collect 15-20 mil each year than get * out and get next to nothing and have to down grade even more.

Now not getting this money has set us back years and we will have to build again from the bottom, and for me this will take us a few more seasons to get back into the champions league for me.

He has got to sort that defence out. They look absolutely short on confidence and slow off the mark both mentally and physically.

I've been calling out Johansen since the start of the season. Just don't see why so many people rate him. They say his passing is amazing. All I see is *. Constantly giving the ball away and running about like a headless chicken.

Yeah made perfect sense....working with a new group of players, trying to get them accustomed to his philosophy.

Perfect chance to practice his footballing drills further in one of the most challenging games in our domestic league.....Naw * it, give them the day off!

    Tool!

I feel for Ronny. He isn't a magician. He has been in Celtic for 6 weeks or so. Managers need time and the right players to implement their philosophy. Look at Louis Van Gal. Lost 4-0 to MK Dons today and lost to Swansea. Manchester United has'nt won a single premier league game since he arrived, and he is supposed to be one of the best managers in the world. Even he needs time.

Ronny is a good manager but he needs time. He knows everyone is expecting a lot from him, and he wouldn't have taken the job if he felt he wasn't up for it.

    From a Norwegian paper:
The most difficult about the job in Celtic is the time away from his twin daughters. The manager is living alone in his home about half an hour away from the training facility at Lennoxtown outside Glasgow.

He has previously told that work pressure has taken nights of sleep away from him, but now he opens up about what is most difficult for him - My family did not come over. I am not together with the mother of my children. I'm single now, and my two children wanted to remain in Norway, he says Deila said earlier in the week to VG that he has a good interlocutor in the first-team coach Haakon Lunov, who joined Deila from Strømsgodset. The children will come to visit when they have holidays and he will go to Norway when the national team break is. The 38-year-old says the absence of his children is the hardest. - It is very difficult. When you do this you sacrifice everything. I asked my kids what they think about me going here when the opportunity arose. I asked if it was OK. But they looked at my face and knew that they could'nt say no. They knew I would regret it for the rest of my life if I didn't come here, says Deila. He has two 14 year old twin daughters, who are both active in football and handball, says Deila. - They are proud of me, that I see. And their mother is wonderful with them. But ask any great manager if he has sacrificed something to be where he is and he will say yes. It's not a job, it's my life, says the Norwegian.

Got to play to your strengths persisting with a 433 isn't doing that. A good manager should adapt and be able to play any formation Ronny isn't doing that either

The guy has made some great tackles in the last few games but yes tonight he gave it away to many times.

    I like the guy.

Ronny needs time. I think we can all agree he hasn't been backed. It's well documented that Strachan and Lenny both struggled in their first European campaign and looked how that turned out.

We need to be really careful here because if we give the board half a chance to deflect this onto Ronny and avoid having to face up to their mistakes, we all know they'll scapegoat him without a second's thought and nothing will change.

The poor guy needs time and backing here.

    Exactly what I was thinking.

It made no sense to make such drastic changes, rest a few Van Dijk, Lustig maybe another but this early in the season surely they need more * game time and not less.

So you only read that last sentance. He said he made sacrifice cause football is his life. He didn't say it was a big deal and complains about it.
When a big manager as Louis Van Gal does very poor in Man United and needs time, don't you think Ronny deserves more than 6 weeks?
