Not my first choice by a long shot, but if appointed I will back him till the sun goes down. Some people look like they want him to be another Mogga to prove others wrong, give him a chance fs.

Eddie howe is the new brenden rodgers, got bournemouth within a whisker of the play offs on zero budget, plays the best football in the championship. Obviously no euro experience though.

Your theory may work however I think a highish percentage of players will also think Keane's attitude/management style is rank rotten and that he is a * and that would stop them.

What I do believe is, should he be given the job in about 2 months time on here there will be a divide again.

If it were me, I'd honestly think twice about signing for Keane. Makes Di Canio look like an HR genius.

Well said Deco. The guys slaughtered before he is even appointed !!!
Ill bet these are the same * i watch boo Brian McLaughlin ONTO the pitch when he came on as a sub against Raith Rovers years ago.
Or the same guys who slagged off Venglos for signing an "old 33 year old " when Lubo came !!

If he is appointed, with whoever is going to be his backroom staff hes here because HE thinks he can do well. Im backing whoever gets the job because we cant change it. If he signs someone who comes in and pulls on the hoops then ill back him too.
If it doesnt work out, then its hands up time.He will know all about trying to entertain the "Celtic way" .

FFS He might not even get offered or take the job so that will save some on here a visit to the cardiac unit of the nearest hospital !!

He has quite an average management record but the Celtic job is easy the only challenge is the Champions league he would be stupid not to take this job. I think Keane would have a good impact on the players especially the Irish players who fear and respect him. He won't settle for any kind of bad attitude and the players will fight for him. The only problem I see is he has always been lacking in the tactical aspect of management which could be his downfall in Europe.

I think it is fairly clear what I meant, only an idiot would read from that comment that I think every single Celtic fan doesn't rate Keane as a Manager.

I think Keane could be the coach who takes us to the next level in Europe.

    Yes

The reason being when we played (and lost) to Graham Roberts Clyde that year in the cup he looked around the place as if to say 'what am i doing here'

I can't stand the bloke but hope he can take us to a new level obviously.

Not exactly going to be cutting up my season ticket, but it's a staggering lack of ambition.

:smiley-laughing002: You're either climbing down from your high horse or your trying to make out that you meant to say something different.

Make a bit of an effort to make your point more distinctly the next time, or else don't bother.
