Maybe because he played for Rangers? Ive allways liked Miller since he came to our club he shows so much passion and allways gives you 100% team work rate, dont get me wrong he wasnt finding the goal net last season but he was being a goal maker, the only mircale we have had is getting rid of Gravesen on loan and only paying a percentage on his wage.

He's been injured again so probably lost his "Thierry Henry form". Cmon lads, he has been * for a striker all his life and only because he scored 3 times everybody thought he finally had become a goal scorer at 28. I'm glad we get that amount of money for him, he was like a stock on a high, we have to sell right now, because we would never get that much money again for him.

I just hope people start supporting other players as well with the same passion they supported kenny miller.

Edit: Just noticed we got £3 mio... business of the year!

An ode to a special player....Kenny by The Doctor

Oh dear Kenny I am utterly devastated by this sudden parting of the ways.

You had become such a huge part of my life not only at the games themselves but amongst this online community.

In years to come I believe you will come to be regarded by not only fans of Celtic but all football clubs as a pioneer of a new kind of striker. No longer will strikers be lonely figures stranded in the 6 yard box waiting for the ball to smack them on their * and rebound into the net, but now they will run free, free from the pressure of scoring goals, free from the pressure of trying to learn the basic skills of ball control and dribbling.

You gave me so many unique memories, visions of you skying the ball over the bar from seemingly impossible angles, trapping the ball then immediately tackling the opposition player who now had it.

An immense contribution to my club and the game of football in general. You may even have invented a brand new type of footballer. No longer will players be stuck with goalkeeper, defender, midfielder or forward. We now have the position of 'Misser'. A position you made an artform out of.

How can I go on without you?

3 league goals in two appearances, both as a sub.

If Strachans let him go then he should have a replacment lined up.

It had been reported that Miller was keen to leave Celtic to find regular first-team football.

Celtic signed strike duo Scott McDonald and Chris Killen during the summer and boss Gordon Strachan said this week: "I like good players around me.
"But the club has accepted a fee and Kenny might think that it's better to get a regular first-team place somewhere.
"He has been fantastic for us. Even when he was not at his best, he was a great team-mate, good in the dressing-room and he showed earlier in the season what a good player he is."
Miller hit three goals in his two appearances for the Hoops this season, but a hamstring injury ruled him out of Saturday's 5-0 win over Hearts and Wednesday's Champions League qualifier with Spartak Moscow.
The striker has previous experience of playing in England having spent five years with Wolves.
