I won't miss him! A favourite of NL who stood by him even when he was pish. He was a headless chicken when we came up against any half decent opposition.

I don't think anyone should be leaving right now. Who knows who the new manager will favour. When Strachan came in no one could have envisaged him suddenly giving loads of game time to the likes of McManus, Wallace and O'Dea.

Same with Lennon. Mark Wilson, Loovens and Ki all got plenty of game time despite not really featuring under Mowbray.

Kayal, Watt, Forrest etc should all wait till at least January.

He can play ok if he's surrounded by better players. I'm all for moving him on, but what would the point be if we have these qualifiers coming up? Right midfield's a problem area in Europe, losing Kayal doesn't strengthen the squad it weakens it. But if he's always eager to going in for challenges he's useless if he's not available for selection.

I put him down as someone who is on a decent salary and players on a decent salary who aren't making a big impact don't get new deals. But it's whether you right off a transfer fee and keep him or shift him on. To shift him on, someone needs to offer some cash and i don't know if that's necessarily gonna happen.

I say keep him until replacements are signed. He's still a handy player to have if he can avoid going in for lost cause challenges.
