Proper title race? You mean when they were using money they didn't have to buy loads of players in order for them to compete and win titles?

I'm just raging that they're a bunch of racist, cheating, scumbags. I'd love to be able to enjoy their competition.

Pretty much agree with this. Problem is though, I don`t think we are going to get competition until they come back and there is no question that there is an edge missing from the league without a serious challenge.

For the rest of Scottish football, they have not been missed one iota. We have had Hearts v Hibs, St Mirren v Hearts, Aberdeen v Inverness and now St Johnstone v Dundee Utd cup finals. All fantastic occasions and 100% good for our game.

For me, Celtic doing well in the CL and/or getting a long run in the Europa would compensate for any deficiencies in the league situation.

For those who are in love.....
These kind of threads keep happening to pop up more and more..
I don't miss them, the new club is even more of a joke than the old one..
Having said that they still have that same support who still grate on me and staff, the only thing i wanted as the season wore on after the constant big talk from them and the media more so,was to get them in the cup and demolish them and put them in there place so the lot of them were shut up for good..
I miss them that much that i hope they don't come up next year..
    Vermin,* them!

Their liquidation for me was better than all the results we ever had against them. Their total humiliation makes me smile every day! Especially when I come into contact with old co/sevco fans!

I think its too convenient that we've not drawn them in any of the cups since their zombie re-incarnation. I cant think of a season before they died when we didnt play them in any of the cups. Now all of a sudden the gulf in class is enormous and we dont draw them? It was always the money spinning tie for the SFA and always popped up at some point. I think we saw against Dundee United (and they by their own admission didnt play anywhere near their best) what would happen if we drew them in a cup. Your talking 5 or 6 at least, and obviously their not going to let that happen

your forgetting that as soon as they make it in the SPFL .. Or should I say IF! They will be able to get big money investors. Or even if they get back in the league, their season ticket sales will be higher than most of the Diddy teams in our league. That it's self is a big advantage above all the other clubs. I mean *, if it wasn't for McCann building us Celtic park, we probably wouldn't be were we are right now.

basically I think its Nieve to say the Huns won't be stronger if they get back into the top flight.

we'll be miles ahead of them though so we'll be alright. We have big PL putting our money in a Piggie bank for a rainy day. People dont like that were not spending much but really, were playing it safe and equmulating cash just incase they do get investors and start spending crazy money again.

Don't miss their bile, threats and the rest of the hassle. I enjoyed beating them and hated losing, I remember stopped 10 and how special that was. I don't miss them, it just makes the European game better.
Scottish football seems better off without them.

In all honesty i dont miss that mob one it. With regular champions league, i'd be more than happy with 6 games against top top teams than 4 against them. I think the league has came on leaps and bounds since they died. the tribute act are *. I would be more than happy if not one of those * set foot in paradise ever again.
    * the lot of them.

so basically your scared they might beat us and get our CL qualification? Who says we can't have both? Just sounds like the only justification people have is that they enjoy that were garenteed CL football. We would still get it regardless. 1st or 2nd. I bet you's all, our season ticket sales will be some of the highest when they come back. People are kidding them selves on if they think Scottish football is better without rangers. Yes some of the teams are doing good but in reality they can only get so big without bigger stadiums or better tv deals WHICH they will probably get if the old firm & the Edinburgh Darby are back (hearts just pulled out of administration) so imo, I'm happy winning away, braking records, saving up capital and getting ready for "them" coming back. Unless the die again, if they do so be it. But imo the Scottish league will be better with our most common top 4 teams. That's just me I guess.

Dont know where you got it that i was scared they might beat us and get the CL place. For a team that got beat 3-1 at home off the team we easily put 2 past in away from CP doesnt scare me in the slightest.I am more worried about the more ' honest mistakes ' that seem to follow this mob around. The sfa will do their best to aid this team in any way they can, and i think this can only harm Celtic.IMO that team wont be playing in europe for a very long time. Scottish football IS better without them in the league. The past 3 years as stated previously, Hearts, St Mirren, Killie, Dundee Utd/ St Johnstone alone have picked up trophies, Dundee Utd & Killie have joined Motherwell, St Mirren, ICT & St Johnstone are free of long term debts. The race for 2nd place this year especially has been better than ever before. I think the standard of football has improved dramatically.

Sick of this chat now. Everyone is better off without them. FFS they're STILL doing what got them killed the first time, they are utterly shameless. While we can't deny that there is absolutely no competition for the league title anymore, why would anyone think that having them back would be a good idea? THEY damaged Scottish football and they have shown every indication so far that they would do it again in a heartbeat. We're better off with them in the past and hope that the other teams can improve over time. It is so worth the time it would take.

oh aye cuz theirs so much money in Scottish football. Trophies dont get them that much money. Tv deals and shirt sponser deals are where the money comes from in Scottish football. Well at least it used to. Lets talk about the SPFL not getting a sponser for the league or the fact our league got offered low scale tv deals from bt sports & sky. U compare it to other leagues, its a joke. Scottish football has its rivalries back, good tv deals will come and the money will start flooding back into the game (in Scottish terms anyway) the money gets spread out more. If you win a cup, you get what? Like 1 million ? As I said before for those teams to reach further than they can currently succeed, they need a bigger fan base & a new stadium or more money from tv deals & sponsorships (which they would get with a more interesting league)

n you said you'd rather have 6 European games than 4 games against them which to me implies that we wouldn't get CL with rangers in the league. So aye, sounds like your panting it :icon_mrgreen:
