    They'll get anywhere from 90 - 120 Mill for just staying up. Funny what England describes as financial trouble, isn't it?

    Isn't Shaw joining United for 30m in the summer? They'll be fine...

    If the above is true... #moyesout.
    Lets all pay ridiculously over the odds for players cause we can. *. Basically a Murray with working legs.

    Easily could. Ambrose is worth at least £40m.

    He's not though. :43:

    I'd call him a liability that needs to be replaced.

    Ambrose is better than Boateng, I reckon we could get 20 mil plus Boateng for Ambrose, I'd take that. No less.

    Not sure if that's enough, Ambrose was the best dribbler from centre back in the Champions League this season.

    Aye, I don't think there is a better defender at taking the ball out of defence in World Football. Plus those Somersaults add another 5-10 million to his overall value. #BarcaBound

    Took that guy for a ride! :50:
    But seriously he is genuinely one of the best cb's in beating a man and taking the ball forward, the problem is he doesn't know what to do with it once he crosses the half-way line.

    Southampton have always been a selling club and always will be, just this time we'll get top dollar for our players rather than flogging for £10m.

    We were * by a * owner then boardroom battles, judas Rednapp * us, relegation, more boardroom battles, fire sales, administration and another relegation. That's what * us not being a club too big for its boots or hanging on to players. Wasn't too long ago that celtic'smtraining ground was better than the southampton stadium!

    Don't know if I'm the person another posted is referring to but never said southampton were a bigger club than celtic nor with a potential bigger fan base. Yes we had a rich passionate owner who sadly died and left the club in a family trust who don't share he same passion as him with rumours of her trying to sell the club are rife - queue the Paul Allen stories and China's richest man.

    The stadium expansion has long been mooted since WGS time and plans were submitted last year however there doesn't seem to be the same buzz here that there was in those WGS years when you couldn't get a ticket for love nor money. So don't know who'll fill the extra seats apart from the obvious games.

    To the matter in hand. All a none story set out as a big * you to corteze and to state the future intentions of the new board - ffs the new chief exec was the old fininancial director so this would hardly have come as a surprise and if it had they wouldn't have handed him the top job.

    With Osvaldo lightening up Italy I'd expect us to get our money back, Rameriz will be off back so there's the money recouped. Sky money around £40m a year I think and with our high league position I think we'll get another £20m that we wouldn't have budgeted for. So with a first class training academy coming the future is very bright.

    The manager gambled in my opinion - he looked at the league a month ago and for some reason thought we could make fifth so ruined our fa cup chances and this I think ( especially if hull win it) will be an albatross around his neck that he'll never recover from epically as a month ago he slagged off the Europa League now he's bugging it up but we could have got there through the fa cup the ball bag!

    Supporting celtic and saints is never dull that's for sure!

    Ps think southampton has played better without big Vic. Cork has been a revelation with a clamour for an England call up. Lennon should take a butchers.

    Southampton? Over-extending themselves?

    * club.

    I hope they get liquidated. Teach 'em a * lesson.

    Jesus have you read anything? Southampton are profitable at an operating level. With a turnover equal to celtics. It was player purchases that made the loss which shows cortese clearly gambled and failed to get us in the champions league places - probably why he left.

    The upgrade to our training ground shows what our future will be.

    Why all the hate for southampton, did a player * your mum or something?

    Because ... they've overextended themselves.

    If anything, they're being propped up by TV money.

    Be honest.

    And, no, no one shagged anyone ... I couldn't give a * about some provincial club from the South of England.

    * off.
