Agreed. We'll get better players, for less money, if we shop abroad.

Well we can afford it. What he means is that we wont pay it.

Looks like we are getting the excuses in early this year. Usually it takes us to at least the last few days in August before we hear this.

 

over reaction time bhoys,maybe,just maybe he is playing the long game with other clubs,if they believe you have money the price goes up,we all know that,lets wait and see.

and yes i have felt let down as have we all in the past few seasons concerning signings

 

Interesting how a journalist's narrative shapes the story. I read a similar quote where it was about the lack of value for money in the championship ie overinflated prices for average players. That story reads like we are skint and cant compete. It varies from paper to paper depending on who wrote it.

Crux of the matter, The Championship is going the way of the Premier League. Overpriced players due to the country they are in. Im all for us picking up cheaper, talented players from other leagues rather than be held to ransom as a player is from England.

 

If we're not going to spend a lot then fair enough but don't give us this * about 6m signings. They wonder why no one is showing up to Parkhead? They sell our best players and we don't see it get reinvested back into the team.
