What would be your starting 11??

We are severly lacking decent squad depth right now although we have promising youngsters.

Right now I believe Celtic only have 4 DEFINITE starters that are consistent who are Sutton,Petrov,Agathe and Lennon. So we need around about 9 players i say

Our defence is obviosuly urgent as we have lost Jackie and needed atleast 4 new recruits including Niemi.

I believe this is an almost realistic starting eleven.

what do use all think.Several of those players are FREE but would command around the 20k on wages but Camara,Juninho,Lambert,etc have all gone so i hope it realistic. Our new assistant Pendery said we should be excited so surley we going after QUALITY and not players such as Tommy Miller and Phillips.

Any ideas welcome as i cant really think of any decent defenders that would join us. Strachan has already stated he will play a 4-4-2

 

Dunno if John Kennedy would be fit enough, it's a big ask. Wish he was tho coz he's a great player.

 

Is dellas an actual rumoure is just wishful thinking? I am a big fan of Dellas.

 

out of your 4 main starters, Agathe and Sutton are injured a lot, and Sutton and Lenny are pushing on now. It's scary

 

The players davybhoy mentioned would be asking for quite a lot more than £20k a week. Would love to get Placente but he'l be well sought after. Dellas talk was in the irish star

 

It would be great to * Dellas and Tavlaridis from under the noses of the Huns.

I reckon they should definitely make a move for some of these Polish guys, they sound like gritty hard-working players, i see no reason why we shouldn't be hunting for players in Eastern Europe, we've seen quality in the likes of Petrov and Moravcik here and they've done us no harm whatsoever.

Aleksei Beresoutski from CSKA Moscow and Anatoly Tymoschuk from Shakhtar Donetsk are players i heard we were supposedly looking at as well, i think they would be superb additions to our squad from what i have seen of them.

At least by looking at Maceij Zurawski, Gordon Strachan realises there are opportunities out there than merely looking at buying players in England or the SPL.

 

I think that we should give the likes of Marshall and McGeady a chance. I would play a 3-5-2 tho as this was very successful for O'Neil in the early years.

This is already a very strong team and if we could add the likes of Niemi, Phillips, Bellamy and Riordian and a couple of others we could be a force not only in the SPL but in Europe.

 

Thats a good idea except I don't like the idea of Sutton playing back for too long as we need his goals when Hartson decides to stroll around the pitch.
It's crucial this summer that we sign at least two defenders, a midfielder and a striker (Bellamy hopefully...or Keane).

 

I agree that we would rather have Sutton upfront but apart from McManus we don't have any other fit defenders at the club.

All gd suggestions.Yeah I think Sutton was gr8 at the back but in an ideal world he would play upfronty with Bellers. I would also like to see Kuffour at CP nxt yr CelticBabe but hes already joined Roma on a Bosman,so that out of the question. We need defnders and quick. To be honest,I dont really no who though as Dellas has only performing at a gd level REALLY since euro 2004,so we need other targets

 

GS has a reputation for signin Scandinavian players, both at Coventry and Soton. I think there could be a few Swedish players being scouted at the minute.

i think pearson should replace lennon i like lennon but hes getten on and pearson is a lot faster he played a blinder against barca few years back the lad just kept runnin at them
i hope GS lets the young lads show wat they can do
if mcgeady has a good season with celtic he could get in the ireland team for the world cup i reacon hes better than andy reid that would be sweet a celt gettin his hands on the world cup
i think if beattie got more games hed be a cracker as well look at him last season the games he got on as a sub he scored in most

 

yeh pearson was gd wen fit but hes not a defensive midfielder like Lennon he playleft side or centre midfield.i wld give him a shot if we dnt sign a new left midfielder although mcgeady can play there as thommo had a shocking season.
