Since humans have been about they've been torturing and murdering each other- you could even go and watch people get the guillotine in France only about 60 odd years ago.

tried to watch a documentary on that 3 guys 1 hammer thing. I couldnt even finish that:smiley-laughing002:

They obviously never showed the guy getting killed but they showed them knocking the poor * off his bike and showed them after the killing washing their hands laughing and saying 'we should take a picture with him for a memory' or some * like that.

    I thought, * this. :smiley-laughing002: Pure evil.

Religion has been at the root of most atrocities committed by man.

There was another one I watched, was a wee boy must have been 10/11, think he was in the taliban. Showed you him cutting off a guys head, and he was really struggling with it but eventually got it off, was * horrid/

The Chechen rebel one is too hard to watch, I skipped the majority of it. Its too 'real' which it is I know.

The fact they are making these lads watch their mates get executed and taking ages to do it, and then eventually finishing them off in the manner they do is sickening. The end one, were he lifts up his head and slits his throat - you literally watch the life leaving his body.

    *.

Always get confused when people seek out this * then get all surprised and go 'that was * up.' What do you think a video of someone being brutally murdered is going to be like?

Aye, like the Holocaust or those who died in the Pogroms and Holodomor under Stalin...

Maybe some people are just inclined to do terrible things.

Most people don't really 'seek it out' though, you usually see these things from a mates mobile or something in school.

    You know the drill.

I don't agree. Greed, money and power have been the cause of most wars and killing.

Am I the only person on here who never has and never intends to watch any of this?

Na I never want to either.

Even if I wanted to I couldn't though. "Pure O OCD" and a video of a * getting his head cut off is not a good combination.

I've never watched anything like that or intend to. Worst I see is what they show on STV news at 6. And that's usually John Mackay's wig.

Seriously though, never have. My mate tried to show me that 3 guys 1 hammer one years ago when I was a young teenager and even then, at that age with all the nonsense that goes on in your head, I couldn't bring myself to watch a guy being tortured like that.

That's hysterical if it's parodying my post in the other thread, considering the subject matter.

Just to play Devil's Advocate, maybe we've got it the wrong way round.

Maybe these things shock us cos we're oversensitive. I mean, generations previously a lot of men would have fought in wars where close combat and killing was common. Violent crime was more common, fatal diseases and morality rates far worse. Could be we're shocked by these things cos we're too protected. I mean the world's a pretty nasty places and people do terrible things all the time. Why should we be shocked by that?

It actually turns my stomach. I'd rather remain ignorant to it and pretend it doesn't happen.
