Aye, I don't understand that. I've never been that impressed by Oblak when I've watched Benfica.

SOUTHAMPTON are plotting an £8m swoop to bring Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster to the Premier League.

Yeah 8 million is nothing to Southampton tbh .....just because they are a BPL side we should ask for 10 min.

When Southampton obtain a certain number of players who have played for us do we then assume control of them? Southampton should just start wearing the hoops. If Southampton win any silverware then I want it to go straight to our trophy room.

Don't think it is, from what I've read the fee is supposedly 16 millions Euros, so about £12-13 million.

Oblak is 21 and had 4 years left on his contract, Forster is 26 with ( 2 ?) years left, I'd be surprised if we got £8 mil

let's get real, he is the England No 3, is only 26 years of age which is young for a keeper, and the only other English goalie with Champions League experience at a time when the EPL transfer market is overheating, beyond all sane proportions , with young English players at a premium. Transfers involving young English players have been crazy money.

So let's start at 15 million for him as being realistic in that market, some of the quotes around 8 million are no where near enough.

Not quite as bad but still surprising. I'd still be looking for £8m at least for Forster with 2 years on his deal and those champions league performances and England call ups on his CV.

Any chance of a swap player plus cash deal to bring home the holy goalie?

Lawwell's not daft. If Southampton are after Forster, Lawwell will be squeezing as much out of those Summer sales as possible.

We should be looking at 12m for him at least. I couldn't give a * if he plays in Scotland, he's a class keeper and his performances in the CL and league have more than proved that.

Wanyama went for 12m and Forster's been more consistent than him over the years and better in Europe IMO. I know Vic's age and potential had a lot to do with the pricE tag but Fraser can get better too. I'd be gutted if he leaves this summer because his displays for us in Europe have been pretty much invaluable. With an average keeper in between the sticks we wouldn't have reached the last 16 before.

12 million or more and he goes to the highest bidder. Anything less and he should be ours again for this year.

We really should be selling him for £10m-12m+.

He is an exceptional goalkeeper who deservedly commands a healthy transfer fee.

Getting Boruc on the return would be unbelievable.

I can see us holding back with transfers somewhat this season. Deila wanting to use the youngsters as much as possible could work out brilliantly for us.

Imagine if he turned a whole host of our young-guns into top, international players. A Celtic squad filled with home-grown talent. All for free.

We all love to see a shiny, new, foreign transfer come through the gates but blooding some Scots who would die for the club is what we really want at Parkhead.

We'll take 8m if offered it, Not many keepers go for more and Forster is not a top keeper yet.

Once he is able to command his box better and cope with crosses maybe, Not until then though.
