Celtic vs St Johnstone (Sun Feb 16th, 12.45...Sky Sports)

* annoying that this is pretty much how our domestic season has went. Lennon seems to have taken what worked well in Europe last season, and decided to play it in ALL games - which in turn has meant that it's not new, not surprising, not imaginative and we play a defensive style of play.

Would like to see the following though:

With utilising the likes of Biton, Henderson, Atajic and Fisher for the remainder of the season. But I won't hold my breath.

why would any Celtic fan want to see the team lose? Just a poor attitude that.

 

Lennon moans about flatness yet he won't give any other boys a chance. Samaras should be nowhere near the starting line up and I pray he gives Balde a start but I just don't see it happening. Thought it was a shame on young Darnell to be dropped against aberdeen so would like to see him back

 

ILTC definitely doesn't care about the clean sheet record!

 

We've also had more than our fair share of depressingly turgid one-goal affairs with out-of-form players being persisted with.

We've had four. And those same out of form players are the ones that have been part of the teams skelping goals in at other times.

Infact, it was changed up on the weekend and you saw what happened. I thought we've been very entertaining this year. People just enjoy focusing on the negative for some reason.

 

we scored 83 goals on average over the last 5 seasons. The way we are going so far in the league we will be due to hit 85goals. Pretty average goal scoring campaign - and the 1-0 wins stand out a lot more than the 4-0+ wins.

 

We've had 5 1-0's, and 8 were we've won by 3 goals or more. Like I said, it's what you focus on. I think it's not too bad for a team in transition, remarkably sturdy with some horrendous results aside.

 

77 goals in 39 games. 1.9 goals a game, if you discount Europe it is....


65 goals in 27 games... 2.4 goals a game. Hope we keep that up.
