Forgive a stupid question, but will these games be free for season ticket holders? Or has that free European thing gone long ago?

With UEFA not allowing us to play in the games in say Dublin it really was the only viable alternative available.

Not really, we won't fill it. Would rather we don't play on a Rugby pitch. Anytime I've saw football on a rugby pitch it's been dire.

Good decision, the only viable one really.

Will be good to play somewhere else for novelty's sake. Would love to go, think there will be quite a good attendance.

Would * hope so, with no egg chasers playing on it before hand. Torn up Rugby pitches aren't condusive to the football we play at all.

Commonwealth games is from 23rd July to 3rd August.
If CL 2nd qualifier 1st leg is at home then Celtic can play it at Celtic Park. If away is 1st leg then 2nd leg will be at Murrayfield.
Assuming we get to 3rd round CL then the 1st leg will be away or at Murrayfield as the 2nd leg may be as well since it is only a couple of days after the closing ceremony.

    Timetable
    Commonwealth Games
Start 23rd July End 3rd August

    CL Qualifying
    2nd round 1st leg 15-16 July
    2nd round 2nd leg 22-23 July
    3rd round 1st leg 29-30 July
    3rd round 2nd leg 5-6 August

It wasn't the attendance it was the length and width of the pitch

Just hope they can put down a proper pitch before now and then. It's not that far from now, and the pitch needs several months to settle and for the roots to take hold.

Otherwise, and especially if it rains, it'll be like playing a Champions League qualifier at Fir Park.

    Absolute joke!

Should have used this opportunity to take a couple of games back home to Ireland :icon_mrgreen:

It should be played in the country where the club is from. Not all Celtic fans could afford to travel over to Dublin for a CL qualifier. It wouldn't be fair, UEFA are right not to allow it.
