    SKY TV presenter Jim White was caught on air mocking Celtic fans over the potato famine.

    And he was joined in his jibes by former Parkhead hero Charlie Nicholas.

    Sky Sports anchor White appeared to think his microphone was off as he chatted with pundit Nicholas at halftime during Wednesday's Champions League clash.

    Hearing the crowd sing The Fields Of Athenry, White was heard to say: "Oh here we go again, the tottie famine."

    Nicholas replied: "Aye, and they're all eating chips singing this."

    Fans watching online via a foreign internet sports channel were stunned to hear the exchange.

    Last night, Sky said they were investigating.

    If you type a line of it into google it has been linked on plenty of other forums. The record seem to have mysteriously taken the story down though.

    Remember it at the time. It was the Shakhtar game where we scored in the last minute. Remember hearing Nicholas deliberately put on the celebration posted above to try and overshadow his comments.

    Yeah because it would have been OK for him to score and not celebrate. That would have stopped me from almost breaking my fist on the door on the way out of Hampden that day would it?

    Type it into google. There are threads from the time on other forums with the same story I've posted followed by a DR link which has been taken down. He did say it. People would have pulled whoever posted the link up on it otherwise.
