I am not questioning their ability or their athleticism. How many DIFFERENT injuries have they had this season alone? I count around 10 each. Most for only 1 or 2 matches.

Wee point, neither are Danny McGrain, nor are they even Jackie McNamara. Neither would be that big a miss.

Lustig was a contender for POTY up until his surgery and has been one of our most consistently solid performers in the team for some time now. Was a rock last season as well.

To say he wouldn't be that big a miss is just plain mental. If anything else, he's a great example for Fisher to learn from as well.

Are you telling me that you didn’t actually notice, Lustig played 1 or 2 matches, then Matthews had to play 1 or 2 matches, then Lustig again and so on? Look at the team line-ups for this season and count the starts each of them has had in a row. Lustig hasn’t played more than 5 matches in a row, with Matthews its 3 starts in a row at the most.

We've signed him to score goals, so throw him in there and tell him to get to work.

I'm not sure of the likelihood but I'd rather he started the game so that if it wasn't working out we could make a change and make the team stronger. If we are drawing and he comes off the bench we have no idea what his immediate impact would be and we wouldn't be able to make a change.

That'd be my choice as well.

Hopefully he gets 90 mins and a few goals.
