I suppose that you have to know more about the fucken club spartak. It was name in order of Romanian slave, who was also gay. Why gay? There are three things in the world that have the same name: worldwide net of gay-clubs, all-European guide-book for gays and this football club. It was founded by young communist league leader kosyrev and underground (during soviet times) businessman starostin in 1935.
But in Russia all call them “swines”. Stinky and dirty. You will see it by your own eyes in Glasgow and in Moscow.
They like to use drugs. Their lieder titov was caught few years ago. But here it is well known by everybody that all players of these time (excluding two Africans) used “bromantan”. So I think bosses of Celtic have to force UEFA to check your guests more carefully.
I heard that some of them wrote here a lot about their role in history of fan movement in Russia. That they created everything and everywhere and other fans only still everything but they - never. They were the first, nobody says a word. And they created something. For example, last year on our derby they put banner 70 m long this sign “spartak, you’ll never walk alone”. Or it is better to translate directly from Russian – “spartak, you’ll never alone walk” (they replaced two words). This is fantastic their creation, something extraordinary I suppose, fans of Liverpool and Celtic can not do something like this.
I hope you will not only win. I hope you will destroy them in both games. Irzhi Yaroshik knows very well how to * these “swines”, their new head coach cherchesov knows very well how to suck in GB. He was main goalkeeper during their phenomenal 1:18 in Champions League. So their joined knowledge will help you.
Good luck!

Are you asking a CSKA fan for info about the worst Spartak players? LOL! Don't count on any useful info from this fervid fan. Well, actually, one can still logically calculate the best Spartak players according to a CSKA fan's UNBIASED opinion :86:. The worst Spartak players for a CSKA fan ARE the best Spartak players in REAL world (because CSKA fans can DEARLY remember the negative moments like scored goals or great tackles against their beloved team by Spartak players)

Hi bhoys! (and girls, if there are any of them in this chatroom ;) )

Well, it's pretty hard to tell who's the best of those scu... players. They're all too overrated (I read some postings of "fans spartaka" in other threads about their "strong and great club" which "shall humiliate"... haha), everyone of them make stupid mistakes from time to time while playing, but I wouldn't recommend you to underrate them as well. IMO you should pay the most attention to midfielders Bystrov (who can run really fast and likes very much to fall down in the penalty area if somebody touch him even with a finger) and Torbinsky (although he's pretty dumb) and probably to the striker Pavlyuchenko.

I think it would be more useful to say something about that team in general. You know they are currently on the first place in Russian championship, but it doesn't mean they're the best, it just means that teams which are better (CSKA) or at least not worse (Zenit, Dynamo, Lokomotiv) have more problems now. The main thing I want to say that spartak usually wins if players of the opposite team are afraid to attack and only try to defend, or if they strike a goal and after that step back to their own side of the field to keep the score. If you want to beat them, DON'T DO IT! It's their favourite situation. The thing those pigs (you know, fans of all the other clubs call spartak fans and players "pigs") fear the most is pressing. Attack them, strike as much as you can, don't let them control the game, and they'll become limp. They have a yellow streak, you'll see... :)

Good luck!

Update: Oh Jeez, while I was typing, some fan of SpaM shared his very wise thoughts with you :84:. Heheh...

Pardon my countryman's limited vocabulary. When he mentioned that Torbinsky is "pretty dumb," he, actually, meant to say that Torbinsky is still immature at times. In reality, Torbinsky is, probably, the most technically gifted player on the Spartak squad right now. He is a very dangerous dribbler and can create space for his partners thanks to his skills. He is fast and very responsible defensively, BUT on a certain occasion he would go for a late tackle and commit a seemingly unnecessary foul, and, as a result, get carded. He is not a cold-blooded finisher, but his main offensive job is still to create chances.

Bystrov is a very speedy right winger indeed. If he plays his best soccer, I would guarantee 2-3 yellow cards for Celtic players. And yes, he is a diver at times, but most of the fouls on him are legitimate because it doesn't take much contact to commit a penalty on a player who passes you with the speed of light. It's the laws of physics.

Pavlyuchenko is the best Spartak forward. He is absolutely deadly in the air and has a powerful shot (from both left and right), but his work ethics has been questionable. Although he has so much talent that he can still score "his goal" thanks to his positional play without much effort.

P.S. Little note to my CSKA friend. I would not argue that Lokomotiv and CSKA have won more trophies than Spartak in the recent years, but how in the world can Zenit and Dynamo be as good as Spartak? Zenit won its last last championship in 1984, and Dynamo - back in 1976. I see no logic from you, my friend. Only emotions.

Spartak, what is your honest prediction of the scoreline for each leg?

My friend (c), when I post my opinion about which team is better I mean the current season, not those clubs' history. You tell me about the lack of logic in my postings? Let's see: Liverpool FC won its last championship in 1990. Is it a weak team? Yes, of course, much weaker than the great and mighty SpaM :56:

It's a tough one. Celtic are, undeniably, the favorites. But Spartak, honestly, is playing its best soccer since 2001, and this fact evens out the chances considerably.

There won't be 0-0 ties for sure. I expect either a tie (1-1 or 2-2) or narrow Spartak win in Moscow (2-1, 3-2). If Celtic doesn't lose in Moscow, then it would practically be impossible for Spartak to qualify, and I would expect Celtic to win by 1 or 2 at home. If Spartak manages to win at home, then Spartak has a chance for a tie or an acceptable loss (to qualify on away goal or goals).

In anyway, it will be a great match up. It won't be boring for sure.

OK. So if you consider the CURRENT season only, why would you ignore the CURRENT standings? Spartak has more points than Zenit and Dynamo and in head-to head games Spartak has beaten Zenit (twice) and Dynamo. Spartak even has a better goal differential. I realize that I am fighting a losing battle about logic with a CSKA fan, but still I shall dare to ask you: where's your current season's logic?

P.S. Of course, one can't consider only domestic successes to measure a club's strength, but Liverpool, unlike Zenit and Dynamo, has won an array of European Cups in the recent years. Not a good comparison at all, buddy

These Russians have unbelievably good English!!

I remember years ago when Dynamo Kiev were the top team but that was the USSR and they are now in the Ukraine league. I loved the short passing style that Kiev used to play. Always seemed to be Dynamo Kiev you heard about so I take it they were the best in the USSR in the 1980s. My dad remembers Moscow Dynamo as the big team. I liked the names dynamo, torpedo, locamotive etc. Do these names all still exist or were some changed after communism fell?
