He was unarmed. How can it be lawful?

No, it was state murder, pure and simple.

Why is he being referred to as 'black' when he's mixed race?

That's the problem with armed police. Shoot first ask questions later and let's face it how many will actually get convicted?

Do you mean De Menezes who was running for a tube train and was shot a number of times in the head at point blank range?

He wasn't running for a tube train... he was running away from the armed plain clothes police.

It's an English legal term meaning the killing was justifiable.

In Scotland it's called Justifiable Homicide.

They're evidently trigger happy, so do you blame him?

He wasn't running from them in any case.

Same old story, brown face equals gang member/thug/dispensable life.

Hopefully cop shops burn in London tonight.

He was running to get onto a train, as most people do when they see a tube waiting.

You don't know how you'd react in that situation. You may well have run as well (not saying he did). Remember the woman in Washington who was shot in her car because she panicked?

Sorry - went to edit my post to say I was wrong and hit 'delete' instead of 'edit' by mistake.

Hands up (pardon the pun!)... you are right - he ran for the train. Apologies, my recollection was based on the early reports.

I have been watching it on the news for about an hour. I don't really have an opinion but a Jury of 10 people spend 4 months looking at the case and listening to over 100 witnesses. I think they are better judged to make the call then any of us. That isn't to say they got it right, but I would trust them ahead of some random opinions on the street. Some people will always believe exactly what they want to believe.

De Menezes was brutally executed in cold blood, he wasn't running from the police and there was no warning given, they claimed he jumped the barrier, this was lies as cctv showed it was a plain clothed police officer who jumped the barrier.

As a jury found it to be lawful that would seem to be the end of it. Without wanting to sound harsh here about a minute or so (approx) before the shooting he obviously was carrying a gun ffs.
