Maybe that was what he wanted and that's been the hold up rather than money? and yes, source. One that's not some random on Twitter.

If Sammy is leaving, good luck to him.
Was a very good servant to the club, helped us qualify in Europe immensely this season.

Will be sad to see him go but not distraught. Like the big guy, but as we all know he can be hit and miss

Big loss for us as he's proven to be a big performer on most European nights. However certainly not irreplaceable. Certainly believe he (and also Joe) will go either in Jan or in the summer. I also think that its also in their best interests to leave. For Sammy, at this stage in his career I am sure he fancies a crack in a bigger league, so I reckon he will go to La Liga. Ledley has been in and out of Lenny's first team (especially in CL games) and I think he's proven himself capable of playing for the majority of the EPL teams

Leave him go and the sooner the better..Anyone who reads my posts here will know how I feel about him..its nothing personal but he is not related to a footballer..I have been saying this for a long time..
I know im going to get hammered now for saying this, but that's the way I feel about him and if we got good money for Brown id let him go too

Yeah he is. His dad, Ioannis was a footballer and was capped by Greece 16 times.

It'll be a devastating blow if Samaras leaves. Players that have one good game out of every five they play are difficult to come by.

Duno if this has been mentioned, but imagine Samaras lining up against us in the Europa or Champions League?

I dont think I would be able to handle that tbh.

Genuinely just want him gone now to be honest. I can't honesty recall the last time he played, and had a good game. Usually, when it is nearing contract renewal time, players seem to find another gear, but Samaras has done the opposite, he has become lazier as that time approaches.

I think Brooney, Virgil, and Fraser would though! :50:

Says more about the lack of quality we posses in the striker department than anything really.
