Anybody on here know the old Irish centre that was situated half way up Mount Pleasant ( half way between the Adelphi hotel and the Cathedral) that the Celtic bus used to be run from.

I think most probably accept that and coming from someone like yourself I am quite prepared to take that as gospel.

The funny thing are there are folk on here who will debate whether Exeter or Torquay are Hun clubs without any hint of irony.

As someone who has lived in England on and off many times I can assure you they don't give a * down there or care for that matter, only ones I've ever encountered that are seem to be England supporting * who have played follow the leader after hearing in some pub that Rangers are pro England etc and it's cool in such circles to pledge loyalty to Rangers.

I've been to many many stadiums down South and never had any adverse comment after telling locals my allegiance, even Millwalls old or new Den

I find it hilarious that everyone associates millwall as some super rangers loyalist club.
It's complete bollocks, there is some but then again in the areas in south east london which are millwall strongholds a lot are Irish aswell and it's quite split but never comes into it and I've been there loads of times..

Torquay and Exeter is abit extreme, are they even classes as English down there?:smiley-laughing002:

Come back across to the south east and we got Portsmouth another club which is very much hun like for obvious reasons..
There are many hun like/hun sympathising/supporting loyalist bandwagon jumpers throughout English clubs..

Yep most English fans would laugh in your face if you started talking about Catholic club or Prod club in England. But I do think London clubs would become Loyalist for a day if they played Celtic. It would be mainly clubs like Millwall, West Ham and obviously Chelsea would sing sectarian chants like Billy boys. Portsmouth are a funny one because they are very pro-Britain because of the Navy in Portsmouth but they also have a bit of history with Rangers as there were some Rangers fans attacked when they played Pompey a while back so I think Pompey would give it to both clubs tbh.

Yeah we've had it in loads of cities from Nottingham,Middlesbrough to Birmingham,London all over really..
The difference with us and them when they play in England or in the past is they genuinely went looking for grief at English clubs where as we didn't and would come under attack in most cities at some point..

Portsmouth is a big hun hole mate, they may have something on a thug element that's niggly but loads down there,dump..
Went there for a midweek friendly and they had union jacks everywhere in the ground and gave it * throughout, when we came out well ahead they were attacking celtic fans/families bladed up from behind a petrol station..

In the pubs after we got talking to some guys from the calton who had passed the same groups and had no bother..
They were picking easy victims tooled up..

    I despise them after that..

Spent some time around some of these guys and they are genuinely scum and uncomfortable to be around..

That's it in a nutshell really, clubs that have had any number of BNP supporters like Chelsea, Pompey, Stoke etc are the same guys who like to suck off Rangers at any given opportunity and try and come across as if they know about Glasgow football and the Irish issue, even at the clubs I mention such faces are very few and most do not give a * for us or the Huns, catholic and prods, Ireland etc.

I think the EDL has given such types a new vehicle in recent years to meet like minded * away from football

That's not far off the truth to be fair, not as cut as dry as that on the whole but your main points about sucking off hun types by making out they know glasgow football and religion/politics in the country, being uber loyalists for the day is embarrassing..

    Hey lads,
Just joined the forum and seen this thread. Liverpool and Everton are both technically Protestant clubs (liverpool is a breakaway club from Everton). Everton were founded by Methodists, while our first chairman after the breakaway was a member of the Orange Lodge. However, liverpool is a predominantly irish city and is the only place in England that is majority catholic. The vast bulk of the working class in liverpool is irish in descent. We have a great affinity with Ireland and Irish people, especially Dubliners.
Both red and blues don't really give a * about England and the national team. Over the years, our Irish heritage has probably morphed into a kind of Scouse nationalism...as the banner on the Kop says "we're not English, we are scouse". The blueshite would share the same feelings. Half my family have bad taste:smiley-laughing002:

Quick story. One of my best mates comes from a staunchly * dog family in Liverpool and his auld fella used to always march on the 12th July in Southport. They were both in tears when we played your boys after Hillsborough and the wonderful support you had for us that day. Both Billy's have made life long friendships with your mob. Still * Rangers fans though :31:

Indeed, same with clubs like West Ham too.
