Lustig wasn't even in the squad that day. Regardless of the team that was picked, Cha's was never a red card. It was effectively game over when that happened. But Wanyama's just made sure of it. Celtic winning the league was just never going to happen, no matter what our starting X1 was.

Cheers mate. It's a known fact that in hard financial times the public becomes more right wing in general so I guess the Dutch are no different.

The Queenday thing's a funny one. I guess when people celebrate stuff like the royal wedding and jubilee stuff here it's an exuse for a * up for many people. I was still a bit gutted when I saw that video of one of my heroes Armin Van Buuren clapping the monarchy on stage as if they'd done anything to earn anyone's respect. That said it made me think your royals must be cooler than ours because I can't see the Queen on stage raving with a trance DJ. :smiley-laughing002:

The infamous Helicopter Sunday, Kaka's E.T winner at San Siro and failing to win the league at oldco are just a few , the latterincidentally would have ecplipsed every Celtic supporting moment in my tenure.

That was a * sore one.

We waited 5 years to win a trophy and Raith Rovers in the League Cup Final seemed the ideal opportunity to end the wait. Charlie Nicholas scoring with less than ten mins to go in extra time and we thought that was that.........

I remember sitting with my folks in the kitchen listening to it and it was a real sickener.

Artmedia, Raith and the Inverness Cup game under Barnes all spring to mind.

Man Utd getting those 2 late goals to beat Bayern Munich was sickening and just about sums that club up.

Still have nightmares about the Germany-France 82 World Cup semi when Schumacher came out and pole axed Battiston deliberately and knocked him unconscious and didn't get a red, Germany then going on to win it on penalties was sickening for the whole football world and justice.

Black Sunday by a mile. Was very hard to take as an 11 year old. Felt pride more than anything after Seville. What a journey. I'm still to fully get over black Sunday though. Horrible.

    Depressing thread.

Was sitting right behind the goal when Charlie scored, from ecstasy to despair in a matter of minutes. In a way though, I think that was the result that let wee Fergus know what needed done at the club, he had to give Tommy money to strengthen the squad, which he did.
