My MSP couldn`t even answer any of my questions, despite me sending the same questions on 5 occasions.

All he could tell me was that he attended a Show Sectarianism the Red Card event and heard Derek Ferguson talk about many instances and why it had no place in football.

Wonder if Derek Ferguson spoke about the time when he signed for a club who had an active policy of not signing Catholics.

Voted no, however I would interested to see whether a potential financial hit from someone replacing Lawwell would cause us to give the younger players more game time. A shift towards the Ajax model of bringing on youngsters and mixing them with a few players from the higher quality and price bracket is in my opinion a more effective strategy than spending the money across a whole team of lower quality players.

As for the politics side, I'll stay out of that, enough debating going on already...

Err, yes it is the best because that is ALL he is judged on. He is a moneyman, his performance is judged on the amount of money Celtic have and make.
Ergo, he is doing a fantastic job.

All the other problems are to do with not having the right people outside of him. I.e. the right striker on the pitch, or the right fan diplomat to deal with all the fan complaints and problems.

Peter Lawwell is very good at the very precise, boring and specific job Peter Lawell is paid to do. Peter Lawell is * at being a nice, lovely charitable ultra who will * the huns, the cops and the government right up their *, and he is * at collecting a ball 30 yards from goal, turning 4 defenders and slotting it past the goalie in Hooper-esque fashion.

I find most of the criticisim of Lawell quite laughable to be honest, "he doesn't care about the poor working class fans, he doesn't want to help the Green Brigade, he doesn't want to speak out against the authorities"

erm no *!!! This is like criticising Charlie Mulgrew for failing to stop the war in Afghanisatan. It ain't his job, and in any case even if it was it's way bigger than just him.

I don't know what people expect of him but as I said, unless one of the decent ultras or their sadly immature fanboys can do better then, you gotta live with him i'm afraid.

We have just been fined €50,000 by UEFA and had to shell out £10,000 in damages to Motherwell. It isn't Peter Lawwell that is in the wrong here. He has to take action when we have to pay unnecessary fines and damages like this. It is unacceptable.

So if it "aint his job" why is he so active in the persecution of his own supporters about the things you claim have nothing to do with him?

It is a joke but Peter Lawwell's hand has been forced by it. The fines would only have got worse and worse until we ended up having to play behind closed doors in Europe.

No Lawwell is using this and the Motherwell incident as his excuse,he should have told them to * off with their fine after they rolled out their Mandela banners

Aye that's right I'm just going to ''get over'' Celtic getting fined €50,000 by UEFA. Your the one twisting * talking about the Mandela tributes. It might be the same thing but one is obviously acceptable in UEFA's eyes. Is it hypocrisy ? Of course it is but that sort of hypocrisy is rife in this world I'm afraid. Things will never change.

You should be embarrassed you even wrote that, but the part in bold stands out the most. And us who criticise him are the laughable ones? Oh, the * irony! Who's * job is it then to defend us regarding such matters? Lennon's? Mine? Yours? Whose job? He certainly collaborates with the Police enough to victimise innocent members of our support for it not being his job.

You might well be right but he shouldn't be embarrassed. Everyone has different opinions on Peter Lawwell.

James McCarthy 13million pound player and Stephen Fletcher similar.

Signing Willo Flood when the zombies were dying, gave them an extra year.

I don't think he has done as good a job as some make out.

Comparing Mulgrew not stopping the war in Afghanistan to our CE not defending us against the police is embarrassing:smiley-laughing002:

That's not an opinion, that's just stupidity.

To be fair, I don't see many other Chief Executives giving numerous public speeches, supporting their fans and talking about fan culture.

Peter does take a more active role than most CEO's.

Was he doing a fantastic job when he spunked millions of the clubs money in appointing Mowbray and paying £2m compensation for him. 2 weeks before WBA admitted they were going to sack him for leading them to relegation?

Is that the people he appoints you're talking about?

That he wont pay the right money for?

Of some of the more laughable posts of the last few days, this one is the champion. He is,whether it be self appointed or not, the spokesman for the club. Our club were founded for the poor working class. He should care about them.

The GB and others among our fanbase have been treated like *. He should be backing them up.

We have proven the authorities have been against us. He should be speaking out against them.
