That was the best free flowing football we've seen in a while. I don't think it's worth changing it for the next game just to give players a game. We want to win, and we want to win with some style.

When Sammy is out the team, Ledley and Brown get more freedom to play a more attacking game. They were fantastic, so was Biton and Stokes.

The midfield was outstanding and i don't see Lenny changing it. He can maybe bring on different subs.

Not with another striker and certainly not fast paced link up play. If you're talking about linking up with the midfield, when they are deeper down the pitch, yes but one touch, quick link up play is beyond him.

Samaras is great when he's in full flow and being on the end of quick link up play, usually he slows it right down and goes solo..
Some of his final deliveries can be first class on the other side like lustigs for ledley's fourth..

Part of the reason the passing was so crisp and the switching of the play was so dangerous was because Sammy wasn't playing. Forrest as well for that matter.

Both have their uses for certain games but there is a tendency when it goes to Sammy in particular to basically sit back and let him run. Which is very one dimensional.

That's not a slight on him though, in Europe he is our biggest weapon by far.

Same formation most of the time, but not same personnel or I'll be bored out my * by December and Commons would probably have to retire by the end of the season, poor guy will be *!

Throw youth players in and give the new boys more game time!

Forrest is capable of crisp, fast passing though. Haven't saw much of it this year but with Hooper, Stokes and Commons some of the passing between the four was excellent. This year, while he seems to be finding the net, there's something missing from his overall game.

I'd like to see Balde play ahead of Stokes, for a while. He's more direct and it could help us here.

If only football was that simple...

The same team and formation won't work for more than a couple of opponents in a row!

Hmmm don't think that's quite right mate. If it gets the optimum out of our players it will steamroll every team in Scotland, regardless of whether teams try and counter it.

It was that way under O'Neill, under Strachan, Lenny's first season in charge and it will be the same with this one.

Works with Barca, Bayern, Real etc. we aren't that kind of quality but comoared to our league, we are.

The team that beat Hearts must be the starting 11. To break it up after a performance like that would be crazy. Every player to a man did his job on Sunday. That's the best collective performance I've seen in a good while.

each game will be different and some require a different style of play ..Would be madness to play the same side week in week out , we would get found out eventually doing the same thing week in week out ...

There is no way it will stay the same.Remember when we beat Aberdeen 9-0 two Seasons ago and the team was different for the next game again. It is Lenny's style to tinker with the team.

Would be nice if he did stick to the same players/formation again just to see if we can play to that standard consistently.

    Jesus.. poor Lenny.

One minute the fans are crying out for us to play the youth and blood in young players and give folk like Pukki, balde and Boerighter and chance.

The next minute they're wanting us to play our best 11 every single game.

Lennon wont listen to any of you and he'll just do what's best for the team. Which I'm guessing will be play a few new faces in the league and save the best 11 for the cup. You'll see a similar team to Sunday play against Aberdeen in February.
