Well said mate and maybe I am being a bit old in the heid but if a player publicly announces his desire to sign for our biggest rivals then I wouldn't sign him (well maybe if he was Ronaldinho-but he aint).

Although if we sign Naismith we HAVE to get rid of either Magic, Miller or Riordan. We now have far too many strikers on the wage bill.

I would prefer it to be Magic, wouldn't mind if it were Miller as long as we got decent cash for him and TBH wouldn't mind if it were Riordan, as it is obvious that WGS isn't happy with him. Miller is the most valuable of the three of them, but we have so many now that they are all bound to be * off. Miller and Riordan were * off last year when JVoH and Magic were injured half the season and we are about to add a third new striker!

I like Naismith and have no problem with the price. My worry is how often he will play and the amount of attacking players we have at the club.

'Magic' and Miller can go. If Naismith does come in I fear that will be the final straw for Riordan and he will hand in a transfer request. I dont know what he needs to do to get a decent run in the side. Its not like we are blessed with better players.

I think Zurawski's technique is better (ie touch and control), and i think Naismith's technique is better than all the other Scottish boys. But technique isn't the only thing that makes a footballer, look at Kris Boyd, all he knows how to do is be in the right place at the right time, but that is a great skill.

I'll reserve judgment on McDonald until i see him play for the hoops. What makes his achievements at Motherwell any better than Killen's at Hibs or Naismith's at Killie? They all have relatively similar records, the only real difference is that Naismith is younger. McDonald hasn't scored in the CL or iinternationally yet so i'll wait and see.

Naismith will be good imo he one young player of the year in a fiercley contested category and can play up front or on the wing. He has natural talent and certainlly has technique and naatural skill as his goal from the edge of the box against the huns showed

We said the same with Riordan? Is Naismith going to work out the same?

If we sign him then so be it but we desperately need a RB and LB and the huns have made a good signing in Whittaker.

Is Jim O'Brien going there on loan as part of the deal?

I have never seen him play but 2 million pounds for a 19 year old who scored 19 goals in a season as a winger/striker sounds like a decent bit of business to me:39:.Especially since we got [potentially] 1.75 million for Beattie.Plus he has got 4 years on Derek Riordan who'll probably leave if this transfer goes through:54:

I despise him for being a hun, but if he gets us goals fair enough. I don't want him to sign, McDonald will be good, he deserves a chance, much more so than Naismith. Let the hun rott at Killie

2 million is a lot of money. Maybe we would have been better strengthening at that back considering the amount of strikers we already have.

maybe strenthening the back would have been the better option. however strachan is the manager and we can't do anything if he has made his mind up.

Maybe it a ploy to unsettle Killies main player before this crucial match

we are talking about signing him, but we don't know if the player actually wants to play for us yet. he supported rangers as a boy and he wanted to play for them, but their bids were rejected.

ffs the amount of celtic players that support rangers over the years and people are still moaning about it.
