how do you know hes not the caliber of player that we need? based on what? you actaully have seen him play, hes good, fast and can score. but you'd be happier with some stranger that you've never before heard of from a diffrent country

Yeah thats it, good post but when I seen the rticle I think it might be fake maby they know he is going to move to rangers then they will go ranger beat celtic to naismith even though we never went for him. I have seen if a few times.

 

i'm pleased. We can make a big profit on him in a few years bt selling him to EPL club for about 8 million if prices keep inflating

Ok, we have Riordan who in my opinion is better than Naismith and he doesn't get a game in the team. He is a good player but wouldn't you rather Celtic as a club tried to sign more high profile players that have CL experience? I just think that we're only wanting him for the same reasons we signed Hartley, Pressley, Deeks and Skippy-to stop Rangers signing him. We have to many SPL quality players and not enough CL players!

 

At the risk of sounding like a *, I would have rathered to NOT have Naismith, McDonald, Zurawski, Miller and instead brought in 1 QUALITY striker to compete with Jvoh, Killen and Riordan. But then again I'm not fit to manage myself, never mind a football team.

 

who says we can afford 4-5-6mil for CL players and dont HAVE to look to the spl for players our scouts and managers think can make it in the CL.
unlike hartley and pressley naisy isn't a panick signing (we REALLY needed CB cover and our midfield was crap at the time)

 

We done no bad last year with the players we had in the champions league so WGS has added to the squad.

i dont feel he has been adding for the sake of it but because he feels these guys will improve the way we play...I think it is just plain stupid to think we are only doing things to get at the huns.

Why spend similar amounts on mediocre foreingers when we have the same class of player on our door step?

 

would like us to sign him, only 20 years old so we will get a lot out of him. however that is only if we play him regularly. i don't want him to be another riordan. would be great to nick another player from rangers

 

C'mon mate, we were relatively lucky to get to the last 16. We need to bring in players that won't just help us scrape into the next round but who will help us to play good football. If Naisy comes then obviously I'll support him to the max it's just that I don't think he is the answer to our striking problems and I don't think he'll help us get futher than the last 16 of the CL.

 

I personaly think Steven Naismith is no better than Deek or Jim O'Brien,ffs Strachan its the defence that needs sorted out not the wingers or strikers.

Bring in Cover for Mark Wilson and Lee Naylor,Pleaseeeeeeeeee

We have plenty cover in Midfield,Naka,S.Brown,Donati,McGeady look like being our main midfielders for the start of the SPL on Sunday against Killie,Then there's Evander Sno,Jiri Jarosik,Mad-Dog Gravesen,Paul Hartley,Derek Riordan,Barney and Jim O'Brien waiting in the wings,just in case anything happens to the main midfielders.

So Why do we need Naismith who isn't any better than the players we have waiting for there chance to stake a claim in the starting 11 for the new season.

LB+RB is what we need!!!!!!!!

and a Top Class Striker with CL expeirance to make sure we make the Group-Stages.

 

I like him as a player, he's fast, he score goals, he's technically better than most of our other strikers except for maybe JVoH and Magic, he's only 20 so his value will go up and he can play on the wing.

Did he not score goals than McDonald last season? Much as I think Riordan is a great finisher i think he does sod all except for that and i think that WGS wants players that work hard no matter what their position.

Remember that Arsenal were having a serious look at him last season and he came back from that trial and played better, so he is obviously determined to improve unlike some Scottish players who get signed by the Old Firm and think thats them made it.

Who cares if he wanted to sign for Rangers? So did Scott Brown. Footballers play for whoever puts their rediculously high wages in their bank accounts.
