I hope to * that Portugal and Argentina are in the same group next year, with Ronaldo you are instantly one of the most effective counterattacking teams in the world. With Messi and Aguero up front, and two teams with shoddy defenses you'd be in for a great * game.

Ronaldo was under a tad more pressure, wouldn't you agree? Unless Brazil were fighting for World Cup qualification... :smiley-laughing002:

Ronaldo for me is streets ahead of Messi, I love Messi I think he's fantastic but its not even close in terms of who the better player is

France 3-0 up now. Good comeback, not over though.

It was a cracking second half. Shame for Sweden but a great game nonetheless.

Not even close? At the moment on form Ronaldo is clearly better but to say its not even close is an absolutely retarded statement. Even your Ronaldo * lickers who despise messi would agree that it is VERY close between the two.

Personally I think they are on a par when they are both on top form.

Until either of them do it at a World Cup, they'll never be as good as Zidane or the real Ronaldo.

    That's my view.

I think Messi hasn't been great since his injury dating back to last year, but I think it'd be a mistake to forget how good he was a couple of years ago and to think that he can't get back to that level.

Messi was excellent in South Africa, his team wasn't but he was.

If anyone wonder why the Swedish fans booed our own player who came on now is because he abused his wife and got jailed for it. Embarassing to have him in the team(alexander gerndt)

47 goals in 109 goals for Portugal now.

    Joint highest goalscorer with Pauleta.

There's little doubt that he'll get back to firing on all cylinders eventually, he's only just hitting his prime.

I'm not their biggest fan either, but still a good comeback none the less.

Neither of them have defenses which are good enough to be favorites for the World Cup, so I think that's a bit unfair.

All games between Brazil and Argentina are high pressure. A tadpole more pressure for Ronaldo is probably correct.
