My grans from there and i use to go all the time when i was younger , i was in newcastle a few months ago , not wearing a celtic top or anything & the looks from guys hanging about outside boozers was unreal .They looked as if they where saying to themselves "who the * are you like?!!!"

I think alot of the pissheads that hang about the city centre are spoiling for it every other night

Ran into a few bits of bother in Newcastle on Thursday.

To be honest I was surprised. The Geordies had a good reputation of being pleasant folk but my opinion has completely changed after witnessing some scenes in Newcastle.

A was suprised to see the amount of police presence. A don't think Celtic merited that amount of polis kickin about, it was like 1 to every 10 celtic fan! Slight exaggeration 'course.

Obviously wasn't there the other night myself and never saw Newcastle live when I lived in Dublin but the distinct anti Celtic anti Irish racist attitude which seems to have been prevalent Thursday seems to be par for the course with Newcastle.
As much as I love Shay Given hopefully yet another trophyless season beckons for them.

I never got into any bother but I did see a lot of * kick off, especially outside the irish Centre, I didn'y like some of the behaviuor from our fans tbh, some * were just acting like huns and should really know better. Police and bouncers were no bad but we kept gettin the old evil eye from some of the locals. Great trip though regardless.

All clubs have twats who follow them, having a pop at Newcastle fans is fine, but all clubs have a small minority.

You can't judge us all by a couple of mindless thugs.

As mentioned before, every clubs has a small majority like we have; even you do.

Yes, you outsung us - not really something to brag about, tbh. Many, many of the supporters were children - it was a more of a family night out. Completely different to Wor Al's testimonial last year.

It appears the thugs pitched up their tents outside the Irish centre, they're muppets - I know. Try playing teams in London, 95% of the supporters are like that :84:

I think you will find it was you scotch twats that tossed the 1st glass outside the irish centre. The behavior of your lot last thurs was an absolute disgrace and the main reason why you or the other set of * from glasgow should not be allowed in the premier league.Btw ,you think your fecking irish but your not.
