Bunch of middle-class teenagers who wouldn't know what to do if they took a wrong turn in a real working class city and weren't surrounded by a hundred others.

Stick to being bullied by feyenoord like you have done for the past 30 years :86:

Have to take your frustrations out on somebody and you chose normal guys, women and kids...respect!
At least you nicked a few flags :52:

I thought proper hooligans were only meant to fight with other hooligans?

Your lot seemed to ambush innocent fans having a drink then you lot done a runner at the sign of a couple of police.

A bunch of wannabe hooligans that have watched too many films.

    Bunch of clowns

"I think I will be blocked very soon because of this, but I'm from the Netherlands.
My whole country laughed very hard because of the 'celtic hooligans'. In comparison with our ajax fans are you just some *. Just some non-courageous childs. Go * yourself celtic. Your fans are nothing in comparison with ours. We have the real support. Come to Amsterdam again and you will know that. So, just * off 'bhoys'.

    greetings from an ajax fan"

listen wee man, we ran a mock in your city because of your corrupt police force and gayest "hooligans" I've ever see. N the fact you say things like "*" make my point exactly, your all a bunch a wee * bags, that pub footage of your 100 "Ajax hooligans" as they shouted after being chased out about 4 seconds later. Wow you smashed some window with an umbrella of some sort of nature. Its was ur coppers that were more problematic. Absolutely terrible police task tactics. Who would be stupid enough to put plain clothed officers in with Celtic fans and giving them the right to assault any fan they could get their hand. I guess the cops have plenty of time on their hands with no "war on drugs" haha

You'd think Amsterdam was this sleepy little town we had just invaded and the locals had never seen anything like this from there quaint detached bungalows in the fields..

Brasses on every corner, dealers and gangs very evident throughout the city centre and alleys and puff cafés throughout making it a gold fish bowl for every money getting villain across Europe..

I have been to Glasgow, where I have seen our fans as well as Celtic fans looking for confrontations. In Glasgow, Ajax fans were provoked at many occasions, also in the stadium. When I walked to Celtic park, we saw a bunch of Celtic hooligans waiting for our group, with their faces covered with scarfs and ski-masks. After the match we walked to the city center, and police had to stop a pretty large group of Celtic fans looking for a confrontation. I don't mind all that, it happens everywhere, most fans were terrific, and I had a pint with a bunch of Celtic lads after the match, I had a great time.

The troubling part is that a lot of Celtic fans act like ALL of their fans are SAINTS, which is simply not true. Why can't they just accept that there will always be at least a small group of troublemakers amonst a large group of supporters? I have to admit, Ajax has a pretty big group of troublemakers, but of course most of our supporters behave well. I haven't heard many Celtic fans say that there might be troublemakers amonst their 10.000 * drunk fans in Amsterdam, which is outrageous. I even see that a lot of Celtic fans say that the fans who made trouble were just Ajax fans in Celtic gear. Come on now, seriously?!

I have seen them at Dam square in the afternoon, most of them *, some obviously on drugs. Later, at the Arena boulevard, I saw these drunk moronic Celtic fans coming through, provoking Ajax supporters. Luckily for them, the hardcore supporters were inside the supportershome at the other end of the stadium, and the small groups of Ajax fans outside the stadium were mostly just pointing at them and laughing.

And then this '* *' banner. It's provocative, sure. But many Celtic fans act like this is the worst thing a man can do or something. Have a laugh about it. Most Dutch people don't give a flying * about religion, let alone the Catholic churhc. Most don't even know what * means, don't take it so personally.

Having said all that, in this specific clash between Celtic fans and police, the coppers behaved terribly. I have seen video footage where plain clothes police kick Celtic fans who are on the ground, and kick and punch a fan who is held by 2 others, though he doesn't even fight back. Later, some Celtic fans retaliated and attacked the plain clothes police officers with glass and sticks. It may have looked like they attacked the tram, but they were actually going for the officers who were running in front of it. They let these officers have it, one was knocked unconscious, the others had glass wounds and broken noses, and I can't be sad about it; that's street justice. These plain clothes police officers are the worst, always starting fights, provoking fans, and hide behind their badge when people retaliate. Finally, they have got what they should have got a long time ago. When we were celebrating our championship at Leidseplein last season, plain clothes police tried to pick fights, litteraly saying "come on then, tough hooligans, show me what you got". And yes, at some point, little fights broke out because of this. But you don't see these reports in the media, they always choose the side of the authorities.

Then there was this Dutch tv program about horseback police about 2 years back. Where the head of the horseback police says: "Not all of them, but 9 out of 10 officers hope that it [fights] will kick off" and "even though last match was a high risk match, nothing really happened, which is a pity". Most of the football supporters know how the dirtbag police force operates, but the naive people believe the media stories and think police always do the right thing. ALL COPS ARE *! * them.

Luckily for us? Would that be the same "hardcore fans" that threw broken seats at women and children and who attacked a pub full of peaceful Celtic supporters in Amsterdam then ran away at the sight of one police?

Yeah they are real hard men right enough.

Good post mate. True fans of any club never want to bring shame on it but neds/ morons/ arseholes will always attach themselves to larger clubs so inevitably you do get some idiots out for trouble. I hope you continue to have trouble free trips when supporting the team of your choice. HH :shamrock:

This * is why I would never spend large amounts of money travelling to away games it just aint worth the hassle.

Any club with a group of 'hooligans' who set out to cause trouble is * embarrassing. The fact that its guys that participate in this * who have kids is very frightening.

The past few weeks have changed by views on Ajax forever to a * arsed club that are no better if not worse than the deed huns.

Go and take a flying * to yourselfs, aimed at the 9/10 of course.

Superjood had an internet personality change when he feels Like it stop trying to suck up our arses after the last time your a contradictave *!

We go everywhere and get pished maybe some full of other stuff and there is never any trouble! So your point is irelivent and being in amsterdam where it is so easy to buy these things makes your point even sound more stupid! Ofcourse we where all away with it but we didn't cause any bother until the police started kicking off!

People making remarks to your support looking for trouble ? What do you expect you brought all of this on yourselfs if you came to glasgow and nothing happend there would probably not have been this reaction over in amsterdam

Take your red tinted specs off and grow up !

    Superjood,

That was the most bother Celtic fans have got in Europe from opposition fans in years. Whereas it's a common occurance for you lot, you attacked Milan supporters just a few weeks ago for * sake!! Your fans are disgusting, I wasn't in Amsterdam but was at the game in Glasgow and you only had to witness your fans aggressive mentality inside and out the stadium to know what was going to happen in Amsterdam.. You are not all scum, but you have one of the scummiest supports I have ever witnessed. Our fans are known for being one of the friendliest groups of supporters in Europe, your fans cause bother everywhere you go like the huns, so don't dare try to make out one is bad as the other.

Furthermore, it doesn't say very much for yourself thinking that bigotry is acceptable.

Could pull up a hundred of quotes like this about our travelling support. As CMcGregor said, if there was no trouble at the 1st game nothing like this would have happened. Well that plus a shower of corrupt scum polis.
