complete scum to be honest, it's the same when spurs went abroad last year and got attacked by lazio and lyon, both antisemitic attacks, we went over to have a laugh and few beers and they came at us with knives, nice to see continental europe is still in the dark ages

    I'm not sure if it's been pointed out, but it looks as though the club are backing the support somewhat on this issue;

This has probably been posted already, but it's nice to see the club not buying into the media nonsense completely.

Not exactly oppressing the public, are you serious mate :smiley-laughing002:
The boston bombing was a false flag! you seen the * US Seals with the cookers in there bag packs FFS. The announced a "drill" prior to it no * had a clue why until it was to late. The powers at be AKA chase goldman sachs ect * as usual made it a false flag so they could deviate from the real agenda.
If you noticed that day the price of gold dropped nearly 48% due to the bombing and everybody was to worried about the bombing to notice that the banks came in and swooped up all the gold at half the price.
    Yous were fooled yet again.
Ps MARTIAL LAW WAS issued in Boston you had no constitution in Boston police AIMING guns at kids heads breaking down doors with no warrants. It was a reminder of whats going to happen in your country.
Maybe you should stop listening to * MSNBC CNN the propaganda they spout it laughable. Ye seriously haven't got a clue you my friend are a sheep to society and its sad to call others nutters ect when infact the harsh reality is we aint the nutters we know exactly whats happening while your heads are all in the sand waiting to lose your rights and liberties. same thin here is happening people just don't see it yet.

    Hi,

I’ve seen you met my friends from the Dutch police and their hospitality..:38: I see there is some misunderstanding how the police works, I want to clarify some things. The last time (big) groups of Ajax and Feyenoord really met was Beverwijk in 1997 where one Ajax boy was killed. The nineties in the Netherlands was like the 80’s in the UK in hooliganism.

That really changed a lot. Police was given more power and manpower to fight this and changed really the way you can support your team in here. The ‘Combi’ was introduced: You could only buy tickets on your own name days before the game, you have to be registered and the most important of all: in most games you can’t travel yourself but you get need to get in a bus or train full with stewards and some police which isn’t allowed to stop anywhere.

In the nineties the clubs already had a ‘football unit’ from the police which are the plain clothed cops who are some of them are busy fulltime with managing the hardcore element. Since then they got lots of more manpower and the use of CCTV and Youtube/internet more recently giving them way more material. Nowadays every club has one and they are used in every game. The funny thing every fan who goes to (away)games know exactly who they are. Shame most of the boys in the Dam clearly did not and did not know how they operate. Can’t really feel sorry for the guy in the GIF haha :56:.

Since the 2000’s media and some political parties are using everything to try to ban away support in Holland. Every incident they are trying to use to get that happened. So with the incidents the last days again. And usually with the argument of taxpayers’ money being wasted. This year they even said something like that after a pre arranged fight on a empty parking lot..? And two weeks ago a politician proposed clubs should pay all the police costs, even in the city centre (inside the stadiums the clubs are paying of course)

I went a few times to German and UK matches and seen a way more police (usual matches, don’t know if you can compare the European matches)but you can travel more freely. One of the things they overlook by looking at the UK system for how to deal with this kind of stuff. Combined with the ‘combi’ I think the policeis far less experienced in surrounding the groups and get them to move (like the police did with the Ajax fans in Glasgow).

As for people who hopes the policemen get punished I would say: dream on (sadly). Dutch ME (police) is pretty known for it. A few weeks ago at a second division match they started some trouble and attacked kids but looking to history not much will happen. I for once been to a match where you could travel free, got in the city centre with a few mates before getting beaten in a bus by the police. We complained and made it a case, even with help of the ‘ombudsman’ they didn’t have to excuse and nothing changed. Result of the mindset against football fans in our society sadly. The reaction you get from people who don’t visit matches: If the police does anything you surely deserved it

And want to rectify some things. There are some who say the dutch hooligans problems are getting worse but the numbers don’t really show it. The numbers from the council who reports the incidents: this year 10% down (and keeps going down since 2009), 662 incidents in the whole year of which around 200 with fireworks, 63 for chants and 134 for minor things like urinating outside the stadium and stuff.

It's true Ajax and Feyenoord fans aren’t allowed to travel to games against each other but the real reason why the mayors decided was chanting (2 years before the ban Feyenoord attacked the police but only 2 games later the ban was there). Ajax fans weren’t allowed at PSV last time but that was because there where railroad works (those where known 6 months before but the mayor did like to act surprised and ban the Ajax fans from coming). Not to say there is not a thug element to their support . There is and they focuses mainly on the European games (and outside the stadium) because those give them more opportunity.

BTW: Dinamo Zagreb fans played against PSV yesterday (much media attention about the hooligans, nothing happened) and had some fights with Ajax earlier so if they where their surely to get some action with them I think.

Thanks for the very informative post Murdoch.
One thing i Can't understand is why some of your politicians and media are wanting to ban away fans.I wouldn't even like to guess how much money 13,000 Celtic fans would have spent in Amsterdam over a 2-3 day period.Surely that revenue should be welcomed by the powers that be.

The shouts about banning away fans at european matches are pretty new (2 - 3 years old). Mostly the media but if it gets support from society there are always politicans who will jump the train.

Yeah, i would say the same. But they also keep saying that football costs society without even checking the facts (there are some papers about the amount of money that come from the professional football and benefit society).

Not sure the UEFA/FIFA would allow it on all matches. But it's not even on parliament but they are slightly going that way with all the measures.

Good to see the club are standing up for us as well Lambert, just hate the Sky sports have put up there news on Celtic and Dutch police basically saying it's a blame game and not actually investigating it fully like they should since it's their * job, same for BBC and the rest of them.
