Extra creativity would be nice, but our main problem is putting away the chances.

I'd like to see McGeouch and Rogic get proper chances in a creative position (I was going to say central creative position, but we don't really play with a central creator). Maybe start Rogic a bit deeper next to Brown and give him license to get forward, with McGeouch starting right but drifting in to the centre. Tell whoever is playing wide left to hug the touchline and give Dylan space to move into. And let's see what they can do. But there's no point chucking them in for one high - stakes cup game, you have to give them a run in the league. If they're not good enough, then we can look at signing a replacement and moving them on, but it would be crazy to carry on stockpiling young players if we are never going to play them. If we do give them a chance, us fans have got to go easy on them at first as well.

I can see why people are wanting Gauld or Mackay-Steven, but I'd honestly rather we didn't go for either of them, because I'm a Scotland fan as well as a Celtic fan, and these two could be big players for the national team in time. But I don't think they will be if they spend the next couple of years sitting on the bench for us.

My respect for the job Lenny is doing is huge, but his one blind spot has been bringing young players through. We've got some promising young guys who've simply not been integrated into the first team in any meaningful way. Look at5 Wenger at Arsenal - he just throws them straight in. Carl Jenkinson went straight to them from a lower league and went straight in the team. Aaron Ramsey was * for ages according to some Arsenal fans, but his gaffer stuck with him and backed him and look at the guy now - there isn't a better midfielder in England at the moment. I don't want to see the talent we produce go to waste (it's a lot more expensive buying in ready-made players as well), and I'm a wee bit worried that's what's happening.

Although I agree with a lot of this, he did put faith in young players like Matthews, Forrest and Wanyama.... so I don't fully believe that Lennon has a problem with giving young players a chance.

I think Rogic and McGeoch will get their chances soon enough.

However I do agree with what you're saying about how our problems can be solved within our own squad rather than just looking at the transfer market.

I don't think Mackay-Steven has kept up his good form from last campaign. I was desperate for us to sign him last year, but can't say I'm overly fussed at present.

I don't buy the "he never turns up against us" tag though. In fact, in the Scottish Cup semi, he was one of the best players on the park that day, and certainly Dundee Utd's best player. He also scored in the 2-2 draw at Tannadice. And, in the 6-2 game, he got an assist and also won a penalty for his team, although I didn't think it was one, it was still given. That's just things that spring to mind.

:50: Yeah you're right there mate Lenny has done well with Forrest and Matthews in particular. I just think if he gave the same support and confidence he gives them to some of our other youngsters, we might be able to improve our creativity without having to buy.

...all of which might not stop me putting in a cheeky offer for Pirlo if the rumours that he won't get a new deal at Juve are true! :52:

Pirlo would be a dream. Imagine him playing in the hoops.

It's difficult to say who would go for, if anyone at all. I'm hoping we have the right keeper lined up when Forster goes. And I'm hoping for £10m at least for him. Barca would no doubt pay big money for him, it's not like they're skint.

Finnboggasson would be a wicked signing and no doubt one that would cost us dearly. It all depends on where we are after xmas. CL or EL or nothing at all shapes who we bring in completely.

McGeady hasn't made it very well over in Ruski and has fallen out of favour for the national side but if we got him on a free then I would welcome him back, he would no doubt come back a better player than when he left. Sometimes top players just dont adapt to certain leagues. McGeady and Forrest on opposite wings would be pretty * cool.

    And a new Left-back!

we brought in 4 or 5 new players in the summer and only 1 is doing it vvd, thats really bad and buck stops with manager.all the money we have and time for decent investment and a bit of guts in the market nothing, the team lacks creativity and a natural goalscorer.we really have to address these problems and give the fans wot they deserve

I genuinely believe we'll in bring in an 8 million striker, a 6 million attacking midfielder and a 5 million left back.

Anybody want a draw of this:34:

One goal from open play in 4 games is certainly a problem.
