Sorry, but how the * did a handful of Ajax casuals supposedly manage to "chase" Celtic fans around their own city? Do we not stand up for ourselves or one another any more?

This whole idea that Ajax fans are some sort of hooligans-from-* threat was blown out of all proportion before the game even started.

There were at least 60 000 Celtic fans in the vicinity of CP - probably considerably more. Yet tbh a lot of ones on here seem to be shiteing it off how many Ajax 'hardcore' supporters? 500? 1500? 3000?

    It beggars belief.

I pretty much agree with all of that..

I've already said it in the last few days that you didn't need to be a causal but celtic fans would always defend and stick up for each other if trouble arose, well that's what I was always told..

To be honest I don't see it and haven't on many travels with us..

Put it this way if celtic had fans carrying on over there like they did here there would be murders and i'd expect that in any town you misbehave in on match day but seemingly not at us..

A mate of mine threw me the match programme today and said he was in Bar 67 in the Barras. He said they put the shutters down and locked the door. Ajax fans came banging on the shutters and mouthing. Bar owner went out and told them if they wanted to come in they probably would not leave. They made their way up the road. Apparently!

Frank thanked us and told us that he was glad we all came along and brought such great support to the team. Then at the end he says that we will beat them in Amsterdam.

I'd be happy if they never came back which is a shame because outside of their cuntish behaviour they actually made the atmosphere better.

FFS This is getting blown out of proportion here. It's funny how loads of guys can threaten each other over a 40 foot gap filled with stewards and cops. In the old days before segregation if you threatened somebody you had to back it up. The older bhoys on here will remember going to Tynecastle in the 70's or early 80's when there was no segregation there was plenty of abuse thrown back and forward but you had to remember the * could actually come over and smack you. If you didn't want to be involved in that crap that you stayed away from the "front line". It's all sanitised now, all posturing pish. All that posturing is the same as some wee * threatening you on his laptop. Not gonnae happen hardman.

Wait a minute H67, weren't you warning us all to be on our guard because big bad Ajax were coming to cause it, now you are agreeing with someone who is calling it all "posturing pish"?

I also don't understand where some are getting this Ajax love in pish from either, I don't think I've heard one person say that.

Some on here seem to have invented a story iin their heads and are running with it.
