Good post OP, couldn't agree more, I think most of our support realise how good he is though. Glad to have him here.

Brilliant player, even when played at centre back he's more than reliable.

Works himself into the ground (which sometimes leads to him not finishing games, but oh well). Love his passion, just check how mad he goes when celebrating goals and wins. Love it.

I've been saying for quite a while now, that he is arguably my favourite player for us. I remember he was getting pelters for a while at the start of his time here, some of which was a bit harsh in my opinion. But he has become a fantastic player for us, even more so, the fact he cost zilch.

He is our answer to Philipp Lahm in the sense that he is so consistent for us. And that goes for any competition, whether it against teams domestically, or against the very best Europe has to offer. I'm pretty sure he was in the paper talking about how much he liked staying here as well. His reaction after we beat Elfsborg was superb, and shows how much it means to him.

Definitely agree with the OP, Very competent and consistantly good.
Not had that since Hinkel Imo, I do like Matthews aswell (shame about injuries) but at least it's good to have that competition at Right Back.
Always feel more confident when I see his name on the teamsheet, that's for sure.

Long may it continue and hope he's here for years to come.

He did not expect that himself :50:

Spoke to him outside CP when he just arrived to Celtic. Fantastic guy who said that he is extremely impressed with the fans and the "Family structure" around the club or something. He did not expect to be a starter for Celtic at that time :50:

    Great attitude he has.

The guy is quality, I think a few premiership sides will be looking at him

A solid 7 performance every time, whether it's Ross County or Barcelona.

Have to bare in mind that He had played a full season before he came here, got injured also.
Soon as he settled into squad and rested up he's been fantastic. Great reader of the game and is never rash in the challenge. Tends to stay on his feet when bein ran at.

Were so lucky that now we have two class right backs and I'm confident in either. Eve when both are playing the compliment each other so well

    And guess what?

    He cost us * all.

I would wrap him in cotton wool until the return match in Amsterdam now, he is that important.

we really have RB very well covered just now with Lustig, Mathews and now young Fisher. two solid right backs that love to attack and a great young prospect.
would love to have the same kind of cover a left back for Izzy so that they could both push each other the way Lustig and Mathews do.

There hasn't been many more consistent right backs in the champions league over the past 2 campaigns. Top player, and we got him for nothing :56:

Great post OP, couldn't agree more. He IS the most consistent player in the squad. A huge asset to us, passionate and always gives his all. Oh and he's also brilliant. My fave player on most days.

Don't forget we also have Ambrose who can cover in that area.

Actually - just posting this makes me shiver at the thought of how desperately under-manned we are at LB :87:

Definitely one of our most consistent players at the minute. As someone said already I'd have him resting now until the tie in Amsterdam to be honest.

Why did he get let go by Rosenberg?

I think if someone comes in for him in the summer he could go as celtic will feel that they are well covered in that position. would be a shame tho

He didn't get let go, I guess he wanted to leave and since his contract was up...

He didn't get let go, he let his contract run out and knocked back English and German teams to sign him.

I love Lustig myself. If we could only find a left back version of him to compete with Izzy and a better contender to Ambrose our defence at the back would be sweet.
