Remember up until I think 4 or 5 I leaned slightly more towards Celtic than Rangers. I don't really know why. I think it was because my favourite colour is green. Then at that age I became good mates with Mjallbys son which sort of pushed me more towards Celtic. I remember the first tournament I properly started watching the matches was the Seville season. Within that campaign I went from just saying I liked Celtic to crying my eyes out when we lost the final. From then on every year my support for Celtic grows and grows and still does now. In all seriousness it was probably less likely that I became a Celtic fan than a hun. My family is protestant (Not religious), my dads a queens park fan (doesnt follow them as much now) and rathers Rangers to Celtic (think he just says that now to annoy me). Nobody in my family is a Celtic fan (or a Rangers fan). The area I grew up in is dominated by Rangers fans and most of my current mates are huns!

Glad I'm a Celtic fan and as I grew older found that it aligned with views on things. Agaisnt the UK government, republican etc.

One of the things I'm proudest about Celtic is that it accepts anybody (Catholics, Protestants.. whatever) and nobody gives a *. The 'other team' however is so backwards. It makes us appear much better to the rest of the world.

Kind of just had no choice. Whole family love the club, love sitting round at Christmas etc listening to the times my family had supporting Celtic in Glasgow and abroad, really get a proud feeling hearing it all. It's brilliant hearing the joy this clubs brought to my family throughout the troubles here. Even before and after. Ah jesus :55:

I've always supported Celtic, mainly because of my Granddad telling me about the history of the club. My dad and brother are big Leeds fans but love Celtic to.

My mum came from a Celtic background, my dad was a Hun. Remember as a wee boy he was watching the 1980 cup final. Hadn't really shown an interest in football as far as I can remember up to then, but just something about Celtic looked better so I wanted them to win, we did and I never looked back. Knowing what I learned about Celtic and the Huns growing up I'm eternally delighted that I went for Celtic that day :celt_2: Actually amazes me that given the hatred and bigotry that embodied the dead Huns and embodies the zombies that any decent person could ever have supported them.

My auld man started taking me to games when I was 4, then got a season book when I was 6, which also happened to be the season we stopped the 10. Just always loved the club since then I suppose. Some great memories, especially when Lambert rifled home the second in the New Year game against the Huns.

I was about 6 when the upstairs neighbours the Kelly's introduced me to Celtic. The walls were covered with posters of McStay and McGrain. That was it for me, remember being called a dirty Tim/Phenian at primary school because my family were Irish Italian.

That just got my back up, the hatred and bigotry I was exposed to from bluenoses.

As I heard on a podcast recently: Sometimes you don't choose Celtic....Celtic choose you!

Well I wasn't born into it ,my 1st time even seeing them was back in 06 I was a "Man u fan " back then and found myself cheering us on more then "my team" I think that's more of a how then a why and the question is why, Honestly every single part. the reasons why we where founded to help the most needy and as a charity 1st and foremost to the style we have of the Celtic way ( which should be of paramount importance to the club) I think one of the biggest reasons is the type of people we produce ( although not anymore but that's to do with Morden football not us) some people say they like Barca because Messi plays for them or Real with Ronaldo but they could play for any team in the world but with us we have the likes of Mcgroy McStay burns grant people who no matter what would always be at Celtic I know all them where before me but anytime I see anybody of there ilk in a video or read a story about them I feel a genuine connection to them that's quite mad and unexplainable it's the same when you read certain story's of fan's and you just get it you know there just like you the most important part I feel about the club is the fans where what make this club truly special there's a good lot that I don't feel any connection to ( not that there not as good a fan as me or in my eyes or anything like that everyone has there own reasons for supporting us and I'd never claim to be better then anybody or that anybody wasn't a real fan if they didn't agree with me) but think it was Sean that was talking about the 90s and that's who I identify with the most good old left wing * basterds who don't ever shut up singing no matter the score

It's quite hard to put into words actually I've missed loads and all haha everything from the "biscuit tin" to the European home record to all the fans outsinging barca when where 6-0 down honestly every little thing about this club is brilliant in my eyes. More than a club and if you don't feel like that your missing out

When my da moved over to Glasgow he was one of the mad *, always in the jungle and then with the Green Brigade. When he moved back to Ireland and settled down we were only ever gonna support one team, imagine if I'd been an Arsenal fan like all my mates? :56:
