Ajax v AC Milan

No offence but if you think Ajax are a better team than Milan when both teams are at full strength, then you're either biased or you know very little about the teams. The team that Milan played against Celtic was a second string team. The team that Milan played tonight was a bit better with Poli and Abate in but it was still missing De Sciglio, Montolivo, Kaká and El Shaarawy from the starting line up. Granted you're never going to have every single player fit and available but until a near full strength team plays, it's unfair to make a judgement.

I'd expect the group to finish Barca, Milan, Celtic, Ajax (solely due to Park Head being a bit of a fortress where Milan will see a draw as a good result depending on the standings and Ajax will most probably lose) and I will be surprised if anything else happened.

A full strength Milan team would see the likes of Robinho, Pazzini, Matri, Niang, Poli/Muntari, Emanuelson and Nocerino all on the bench. Good players by all means, so the team is not as bad as you make it out to be.

Don't mean to be rude, I just think what you're saying is wrong.

If Milan are pish what does that make us ? They fielded players against us that wouldn't usually get a look in if they were at full strength. Ajax are not better than Milan. The two games against Ajax are our best chance of picking up points in this group. Milan were missing Abate, De Sciglio, Montolivo and El Sharawwy on Wednesday. Some on here are seriously underestimating them. Pish teams don't qualify for the CL in Serie A.

 

Milan will hammer them.

 

A draw would be a good result but think Milan will beat them....

 

We should take four points, at least, from Ajax (yes, I know they're still a decent side before the Ajax fans on here explode). PSV ripped them apart.

We can beat Milan at Parkhead. We certainly shouldn't lose at home, even to a full strength Milan side (that's no disrespect to Milan... there's only a few sides I'd worry about playing at Celtic Park).

Anything against Barcelona is a bonus for all three of us.

I don't know whether that'll e enough to see us through without other results going our way but it might be.

Id rather AC Milan won, Milan have already beat us and they probably have a better chance of beating Barca than us so if Ajax beat them it would make us favourites to come bottom by making us basically have to beat them home and away. We should be looking to secure 3rd by beating and drawing with Ajax and hoping Ajax lose the other 4 games.

 

I think we can take 4 to 6 points from the Ajax games, and at least a point at home against AC, so, with that in mind, I'd like either Ajax to beat AC, and AC to win the reverse fixture, or a draw in each of the games. If they cancel each other out, we've a much better chance of finishing 2nd.

 

Draw. We should be aiming for 2nd place!! And * if we finish 4th, that is nothing to be ashamed of!! Especially in a group like that! At least we could say we had a go. City finished 4th in the group of death last season and they have A * LOAD more money than we do.
