Does anyone else feel that the price of the relica kit and the constant change to new kits is out of order?

    * ragin that 2 home kits for my bhoys age 5 + 7 totals over £110
then theres me and my daughter to get for which in its self is about a ton.
    * me off the amount of times they change the strip and the prices of them. Fleecing the fans.
I'm finding it a struggle to pay for all the general thingz involved in being a fan, i.e season book £500, Home kit for me and 3 kids £200+, away and third strips £200...., and thats not including progs, away tickets and other merchandise.

Yeah the prices are terrible . What annoyed me was we never even used the "International away kit " in ANY competetive games !

It's exploitation of people like yourself mate. Kids will always want the latest strip or training gear so its always getting changed. Parents are under pressure to make sure their weans have the new stuff.

I'm lucky because my wee yin is more interested in dolls than Celtic but it must be a nightmare with boys.

I can buy my kit cheaper at a local tiny soccer store in my town like a mile away. Going later today called them and its 5 dollars cheaper than online not counting shipping. Watching the rerun of the AC Milan Celtic at CP right now on my TV

Yeah and you get fannys coming on here saying that we have no right to slate fannys like miller and gravesen. Why no they are the ones gettin our money!! The fans keep Celtic up there, we put the money into the club...too much maybe.

Off on a tangent there sorry.

But I seriously think fans should maybe let them know that it is a bit out of order with regards to the price and frequent change of kit, as it is a burden to the people who made this club what it is. All the prawn sandwich brigade that weren't there through the bad times but now occupy seats at celtic park because they can afford it dont bother about the price of kit. They dont even wear it. The real fans who were the heart and soul of celtic are little by little being priced away from parkhead. No wonder the atmosphere is the way it is at home.

interesting to see the prices.... when we know they are sewn together using material that costs tuppence by an overworked five year old working in a asian sweatshop...... yeah.... kerching mr nike.

something should be done..... i would love to know the manufacturing costs.... to see what the mark up is.

To play the devils advocate. If we didnt sell merchandise we would be lucky to get anywhere in Europe since we have little tv revenue.

I would rather pay 20 dollars more and see us do well in Europe than pay 20 dollars less and get knocked out in qualifiers.

thats a good point mate.... but i bet we'd sell more if they were a tenner cheaper then selling more would offset the cheaper cost.

That is true, but there has to be a tipping point where the average fan is completely priced out of the games and the merchandise.

The average price of a season ticket is already over 400 quid, and when you add the strips and other stuff its a hefty price to pay for what is sometimes poor quality football in the SPL.

The club has to realise that they can only push the prices so far before they have to pursue other ways of raising revenue (which in fairness I think they know).

100% behind u m8.but celtic will say if u want a sucessfull team, then its warented,i stopped going because i really couldent afford it,teams forget that supporters treat a match like a day out henece your dinner travell money ,your tote money, ticket money[awaygames]your carryout for the bus some times 3 games a week ,and me being a taxidriver ,i had to take the whole day off because i work nights,,,it became too much for me,,an average of £100 a game,,,so something had to give,,celtic or the mrs,,it was a close call but the wife won because i was horney 1 night
