European night ticket policy

Third time I'll have said this in three different threads, but anyway.

Pretty much echoing what Paddy said further up - I see no argument against prioritising season ticket holders for their own seats. That's fine. I don't, however, see the logic behind prioritising them for the rest of the seats. It then becomes simply a case of who knows a season ticket holder the best.

And, yes, I am a season ticket holder.

It sure is. I've had the name for years. BTW, I live in Victoria not Vancouver .

 

I am not sure. The Barcelona ones last year sold out pretty quickly, but maybe the Ajax ones will be available longer (a release of single tickets by Celtic is also possible closer to the event).

I know the package is too expensive, but I just wanted to let you know so that you at least could go through an official channel instead of a tout.

 

Actually Sean, you,ve hit the nail on the head! Its a case of who knows a season ticket holder! (Wish I'd just went with that in the first place now!)

And I've got the 3 game because I know a season ticket holder - but I still think its unfair! He thinks he's Jesus Christ Almighty cause he can get me tickets!

 

I think it might spur on more season ticket sales if there's only the option of securing your seat, the sit on the fence gloryhunters would buy a season ticket to secure it.

 

No one is feeling bitter towards anyone.

The thing that seems to be annoying is the amount of tickets allocated to season ticket holders.

The season ticket holder should be guaranteed their own seat,not another 2 or 3.

If the club wanted people to buy a season ticket to ensure they could get a ticket for European games,then they would limit European tickets to one per ST holder,so that logic is out the window.

I bought two packages 2 hours after they were "sold out". This was caused by people adding tickets to their basket and then not completing the transaction, hence the transaction times out and the tickets are re-released.

Only tickets I could get for my mates are in section 412 of the upper tier NE corner, row Y seats 17 and 18. They're restricted view, there's a roof support poll in this section and also barriers at the stairwell and wondered if anyone has sat here before?

I remember getting a "restricted view" ticket for a cup game once before, one of the handrails for the stairs was in front of me, but it didn't obstruct your view of the pitch unless you were under 5 foot! Asked Celtic and they said they were required to sell it as restricted view due to regulations so not sure how good or bad these CL seats will be. Anyone shed any light?

 

No because if they limited it to 1 package per season ticket holder then 20k packages would then go on general sale to non-season ticket holders.

By giving ST holders the chance to buy 4 packages it gives us more importance and makes being a ST holder more attractive if you will and would surely encourage people to get a ST, no?

 

Not really, in the slightest. I would suggest having a guarenteed seat an not just relying in your mate with a season ticket would make you but a season ticket if you're wavering whether to or not.

Special treatment is being guarenteed your season ticket seat outwith games on the season ticket.

 

Well Celtic are obviously using this 4 extra package (and 4 extra tickets for Juventus) policy to make it more attractive to buy a season ticket.

 

I agree with that but at least this way Celtic know the tickets are going to other Celtic fans. It is unfair though. Each season ticket holder should be entitled to one package each.

 

It would be fair if they gave to people who attended all the qualifiers and then in saying that though two gloryhunters in my family managed to get tickets using my season ticket today.

Bottom line is though if it means that much to you buy a season ticket.

 

And we're discussing if that's a reasonable policy. I don't and I didn't when I was a season ticket holder either, unfortunately this year I couldn't afford it or a Champions League package but I still feel the same way.

It seems to be you are a gloryhunter for wanting to go to champions league games,unless you get to all/alot of home games also.

I am not going to understand why a season ticket holder needs to added bonus of helping friends and family.

 

Aye because everyone can afford season tickets.

 

Probably a daft question but I take it the Lisbon Lions upper will be opened for these games ?
