If you mean crude popularity, then Pukki is the absolute star since strikers are always the most popular players. Personally I'd say Pukki is the 4th-5th best player in Finland's national team. Roman Eremenko is the obvious number one (the biggest Finnish star since Litmanen), followed by Niklas Moisander and Perparim Hetemaj. I'd also rate West Ham's Jussi Jääskeläinen much higher, but he has retired from the NT. Pukki would probably come next.

By the way, Finland just overtook Scotland in the new Fifa Rankings, so there's no shame in being the fourth best player of our amazing national team:

Is Roman the player who used to play for killie or is that his brother ? Always rated him regardless.

 

fingers crossed they will. ideally, all from the start. tbh i would want us to go for the kill from the off tomorrow.

very attacking and hugely unbalanced but I want Hearts on the ropes from kick off. i don't even want to see them in our half.

Alexei Eremenko jr. played for Kilmarnock. He doesn't even make the squad these days. Hasn't played in the national team in a while. Currently playing in Kazakshtan.

Roman is 4 years younger, playing for Rubin Kazan.

 

I was referring to both matches against Spain in the WC qualifiers, specially the first one in Gijón, when he scored the tie goal for Finland.

Sure he scored, but it was a team effort. I think there were 11 heroes + the substitutes behind that amazing draw.

Pukki and derk had 1 year left on there contract at there last clubs did van dijk and biton have that left as well if so do you think that is the way we done business look for quality players with a contract running out and get them cheaper ?
