Would i be right in assuming these guys had already made it before their attitudes/work ethic changed? Tony Watt is nothing yet and will fade into obscurity if he doesn't change his attitude. The guys you mentioned previously were also extremely talented on the pitch, a pitch which Tony Watt can't even get on because of his lack of fitness, lack of effort and a lack of work ethic.

We might not know the exact story. But the fact that the Lierse manager has sent him home twice from training is not exactly great news. And that isn't anything fabricated.

Sent off for an elbow? Really. Funny thing is it got revoked and you can see clearly from another angle that the back of his hand tapped him on the chest.

The funny thing is, the attacking player actually trips Tony up. Cut to 50 seconds into this and it's plainly obvious.

I feel a bit sorry for Tony. I'd have loved to have seen him playing against Milan, Barca and Ajax. It was crazy sending him on loan in the first place. Whatever way you look at it, off the bench he could have helped to get us through this group. Instead he's walked into exactly the same scenario he maybe had with Lenny, so it's better it happens with Menzo. But the reality is, you should just be glad to be playing whatever position you get asked to play.

The manager doesn't like him, clearly. He should be brought back and sent out on loan elsewhere in January.

Sadly I think he's on a slippery slope personally.

I think that would the best plan Hammer. But maybe it actually works out great for us. He comes back early knowing fine well what happens if he steps out of line

Was coming on to say the same thing really. If it continues down this route I could see Lierse maybe cutting his loan short and sending him back in January. Where else do you send him though? There's a few bhoys down south in League 1 etc, might work better for him there.

I do agree with the slippery slope part, I hope to * we're wrong and he turns it around, but it's only him that can do that. He's surely had help from us and Lierse trying to turn him around and get his head right.

As much as it was a great night for all of us and i'd never change it, i still say scoring the winner against Barca might have been the worst thing for him, mentality wise. I thought even his attitude in general changed a bit when you saw him. This isn't a dig at Tony by the way, can't be easy as a young man to do what he's done already. Must screw with your head a fair bit.

Aye, they were all hard working, quiet lads who had never even seen the inside of a nightclub before they became big names.

    Especially MacAvennie.

That doesn't matter. The fact still remains that he can be a "character" and still go on to become a great player for us.

He's maybe never going to be the model pro, but that doesn't matter if he can score goals at the weekend.

Yes, it does. The footballing world has changed, look at what that sort of lifestyle done to Adriano, who looked like one of the most promising olayers the world has ever saw.

He needs to be focused on football.

He'll grow up soon enough. I really don't care what he gets up to off the pitch if he's scoring goals but if he wants to be something really special he has to put the work in on the training ground. Most exciting player at Celtic in years when he broke through.

Well, if Lennon thinks that way he probably won't be with us for long, as he won't change in my opinion.

His swagger and attitude is what makes him who he is.

If Lennon got shot of a coach because of his drinking i really don't see him putting up with any * from a young done * all yet player.
He has it all to play for just hope he don't * it all up.

In the end, if he's good enough he'll make something of himself. Maybe not with us though.

He looks like a natural goalscorer, and there aren't many of them around. He'll not be found without a club.
