you know what I mean. I'd have rather played someone we haven't played in a while like Real Madrid or Bayern. Boring is probably too strong a word, my bad

Milan didn't make short work of PSV. Ajax are Dutch champions, it's not a foregone conclusion that Barca/Milan qualify.

25/1 to get out of the group, get on it.

Lol people underestimate Ajax so much. Remember them slaughtering City in the CL last season, they also beat us with 4-0 in pre season last year.... with their B team.........

Flight costs to Barcelona, Milan and Amsterdam will have jumped sky high as soon as the draw was made, even without knowing who plays when. The airlines will have seen both possible draw dates and increased the costs no matter what.

Was praying we didn't get group D or H as we were drawn out :smiley-laughing002:

Now the draws been made though......* it! We've played what is supposedly one of the best teams ever and beat them on our own ground - we can do it again. :47:

    * Manure getting a bye through the group stages as usual.

We can beat them all at home. The win at Spartak and the narrow defeats at the Nou Camp and Lisbon show we can sneak something away from home. Draws at the San Siro and Amsterdam Arena would be very very good results, anything against Barca is a plus.

    YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I for one am loving this group! Ever since I heard i've been excited. Who the * wants an easy group?

A true CL group - full to the brim with Champions. 18 European Cups between the teams in it.

We all know we're more likely to beat Barca than St Mirren or Shatker Brodisloddyflovdov anyway!

Celtic always step up against fellow big teams and rise to the occasion, I honestly would not be surprised if we got out of this group as well!

However I would definitely be happy with 3rd place, it was an unpopular opinion a month ago but I really want a long run in the Europa. Genuinely think we could make the final if we add 3-4 quality players now and in Jan.

    Back in the big time!

exactly what I was thinking. N Ajax have a similar transfer policy as us , right ? I mean I know they spend a bit more but they buy young n build the players up, right? Correct me if I'm wrong.

its gonna be a good couple of games this year n honestly I think with some new signings in the door we should give a good fight just need to give them time to mould and we'll be rocking before u know it! I think we'll be 2nd or 3rd.

people on tv are saying our group is the best. Apparently because all of our teams have great history, that and were the only group with 4 previous CL (European cup) champions.

I'm actually buzzing. N just to think 2 days ago we thought we weren't even gonna get to hear that beautiful CL music this year.

to be honest we still do have a really strong team.

    hail hail

Group of champions. Bring it on! Pleasure to be at the top table. Love the variety of teams in the Europa league and hate the snobbish attitude of it being a * competition. But, hey this is where the money's at! UEFA need to change their rules and make both these competitions as prestigious as they were years ago! Not to keep making the rich richer.

Milan's website refers to Group H as the Group of Nobility. I like that. :50:

I think its a great group for us. Some posters say they would prefer an easier group with a better chance to qualify. I disagree. We are not a brilliant team as shown in the way we struggled to qualify against a couple of decidedly poor teams. As someone said, we struggle against your st mirrens but we play out of our skins against your barcas. I would have hated being in a so called easier group because the expectation would have been ridiculous and we probably would struggle. This group is tough, and the tougher the better coz we have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I can understand people wanting different teams for a bit of variety. But the top teams in the draw are there every year so youre bound to keep drawing the same team every couple of years. I think the best we can hope for is 3rd though. But, this is Celtic, you never know.
