*If you've seen those posts you must have also seen the multiple warnings to keep politics out of the thread*

Anyway, I think Biton could be another gem but that's only based on a few clips I've seen. The main priority for us must be to sign a quality striker and then a centre back. :50:

He did say brick wall but not about this particular transfer more about the overall lack of activity. He said its been frustrating and not for a lack of backing from the board. Lennon also said transfers dont hinge on tomorrow's game.

Looking forward to seeing this guy, genuinely excited about what I've seen/heard of him. Hope he can be added to the list of our scouting team's finest finds.

Well I welcome talent from wherever on the globe we find it. Our team has took a back seat to the buisness side of things for long enough its time the team became more of a focus.

Hey lads, don't know if you remember me from a few years back.

Seems Biton is all but done according to our press, should be 700k pounds for 80% of his card.

I saw many comments about his game and feel I need to enlighten some of you -

Nir Biton is NOT a defensive presence. He isn't a physical presence either.

He is an extremely tall, ball playing CM.

He hardly goes to the ground for tackles, he doesn't really like to get his legs dirty, and he doesn't do nearly as good a job as he should do imposing his physical superiority.

He has very nice technique, and is really really good taking care of the ball for a guy his size - he has some nice vision and can take the ball and run forward - aswell as being able to shoot from distance with both legs (his shots are more accurate then powerful)

Again I feel the need to stress this once again - he is NOT a defensive midfielder, despite what he size is.

He's a very good young prospect, and surely have the tools to be a great defensive player - but he doesn't have the attitude and I don't think he ever will.

So I don't want people to get excited and hope he's something that he's not - again, he's a ball playing technical CM who can do a little bit of everything, but his main strength is technique, touch and ability to relief pressure from others and direct the play in a rather good way.

    Thanks for posting. :50:

Always good to get a bit of inside information when it comes to potential signings.

Judging by this he wouldn't be suited to the Scottish game unfortunately.

Your name does ring a bell :smiley-laughing002:. Cheers for the info anyway I actually like the look of the lad, hopefully get it wrapped up and he turns out good :50:

By "80% of his card" - do you mean a co-ownership type of deal? Or that Ashdod get a 20% sell on clause on any future transfer? It's just I couldn't imagine Celtic getting involved in part-ownerships.
