Stay in Cardonald mate. 2 secs from the Paisley Rd W.

Honestly love my bit. Just wish I had a decent boozer. (three rather near, but no the best).

But aye, 20 min from toon, or Paisley. :50:

That describes pretty much any place in Glasgow!

There's not just 4 bookies near me, there is 4 William Hilll's within 15 minutes walk. Plus Ladbrokes, Betfred etc

It's probably not as bad as I think, i'm used to knowing everyone when I go into town, knowing my neighbours ect, you don't have that when you're living in a flat, it will hopefully pick up when college starts and I won't just be applying for jobs and doing nothing everyday.

A Job and college to start will probably give me a different outlook on it.

haha, I was going to say that.

It was more the 20 minute thing that got me thinking.

ah, see I have: William Hill, Coral, Paddy Power, and Ladbrokes.
Few hundred yards up the road; more Ladrokes, Betred, Tote.

Basically the Paisley Rd West is full of bookies.

I live in the * end of nowhere. I`m not a farmer either. I`m about 10 mins away from a village with a population of about 2000 and that is where I do most of my socialising and spend quite a bit of time there. As soon as I have enough money, I`ll be getting my own place in this village

What exactly do you mean by countryside? I wouldn`t even class this village I`m talking about as countryside

I live in a town of about 11'000 about 25 minutes from the city, I love it here being beside the sea and all which is the thing I'll probably miss most when I eventually move.

I live in a wee town. About 30,000 population or so. Surrounded by other wee towns which are smaller and around 15-20 miles apart. Same distance from a City and about 50 miles to the other City.

Personally I couldn't live in a City, it's nice for a change and to go out etc and when you want a kebab at 5am it's good, other than that I don't see the appeal. The one other thing I like about 'bigger' places in general though is the fact that you can walk down town and not see one single person you know.. that's very hard to do where I live!

Countryside by a country mile. Did the big city living, easy access to everything is the only thing I miss. Don't miss arseholes neighbours, anti social behaviour and police sirens. It's worth the extra mileage for some of what used to on the doorstep. Nearest shop is 17 or so miles away which can be a pain if you forget stuff on the 'BIG' shop but the drive is cool. Best views in Britain, always fresh faces to meet as well down the local as its a good tourist spot. Nothing like waking up to a deer in the garden and total peace.

City for me too. Depending on what city of course. I have lived in some really * cities that even living in the country would be better than.

But living in the country is just too boring for me, I like having things to do.

    The City for me.

I loved my brief stint living up in Glasgow, I regret moving but the reasons were justified at the time.

Hopefully in the next couple of years I will be back staying in Glasgow.

    City.

Pollution and dust are the only downsides.
