Yeah probably true and I'm not saying he'll be the next big thing I'm just happy that another team in our league actually paid a fee for a player rather than the usual free transfers from the blue square premier that seems to be the norm these days and an U-21 international as well

 

Yeah I noticed that but I saw the Hearts game and he still looked a step up from most of the Hibs starting 11, he could be great, he could be gash who knows still a good sign that they are at least paying fees for players.

A schalke bench player who has scored 8 goals in 37 is really the answer to our problems? I see no reason to assume he would be any better than the 3 million pound striker we have out on loan nor our last signed striker who managed 9 in 27 playing for vitoria.

Still I guess he might be a step up from a guy who can't even get on the bench at wolves...

Is £3mil a good deal for this guy? I know * all about him to be honest. Also is he an out and out striker? Or is he another drifter, of which we already have plenty.

 

Drifter I think mate. Would have LOVED Finnbogason here, but because John Park didn't think the man was worth the money, It looks like it will be Pukki. A little underwhelmed as I've wanted Finn for SO long but nevertheless I think this will be a good buy, pretty happy all in all.

 

From what I can tell, he isn't a target man, but someone who should be able to play beside a guy like balde.
But even so, better at playing the lone striker than the rest of our options.

At 3m this may see the end to the finnbo deal, but leave us open to a new midfielder and one other. Piatti and ciani?

 

I just don't think we need another drifter. Sammy, Stokes, Watt and Amido at times seem to all drift out wide, particularly to the left. I'm desperate for us to sign someone who will do what Hooper did and just get himself in goal scoring positions, even if it means dropping deep occasionally.

I was hoping for Finbogasson too to be honest. Ah well, hopefully if the story is true he will come in and do the business.
