    Unfortunately for McStay when he was likely to leave us in 1992 no top clubs came in for him. If they had he may well of moved on. Thankfully for us he stayed.

    Del Piero and Buffon would be good shouts too. Both chose to stay with Juve and play in Serie B while at the peak of their powers, just two months after being crowned world champions in 2006.

    What a legend McStay was, only wish I had seen play live from The Jungle. Guys sums it up well when he said that McStay got into our best ever XI despite playing in probably our worst ever team. What a player!

    Matt Le Tissier is a perfect example as was Steve Bull of players who were more interested in their clubs than playing for other teams or getting more money elsewhere.

    Think they are the best example as turned down top clubs to stay where they were
