Anyone notice that in our 3 home games this season against Cliftonville, Moenchengladbach and Elfsborg they all done the Huddle when we done the Huddle. Its not that uncommon for teams to do the huddle against us probably atleast 1 out of every 5 games a team does it but 3 teams in a row is weird and all at the same time, they all waited till we started and then they done it at the same time lol. Wonder if Ross County will do it tomorrow.

Maybe it's like the New Zealand rugby team and the haka.

Nobody does a better huddle than us.

    YOU HEAR ME?

    NO ONE!

I think they do it because they know the fans all cheer during the huddle so they must sort of get a bit of inspiration from the noise.

Lots of teams do it. However only Celtic call it a ''the huddle''. The fact we do it every game and the fans reaction to it sets us apart.

Its not like its uncommon. Swedish teams have done for many years, my home team did it the first game I watched live, which was about 1995.

I think a lot of European teams do some form of "huddle"

Cliftonville and Celtic are closely linked so that probably explains why they done it.

Think Elfsborg were just being arseholes.

SPL teams do it rarely, think I can remember them doing it only once or twice and they always got booed.

maybe other teams doing the huddle are only paying tribute to the team who started it all i don't know.:50:

A Huddle in sports was a concept before we started doing it.

I think that Cliftonville did it as a sign of camaraderie. Good on them. Theyre our brothers in Ireland no doubt

Pretty amazing to think that there are people who think otherwise.

I started playing rugby in the late 70s and we did the huddle prior to the start of the match. I coach an under 11s team and they do it too – called the huddle as well. Last minute orders and to gee-up the team before unleashing them. In fact my team did this when they were under 6 level, it’s part of the sports culture.

I was amused when Celtic started to do this – think I read on here or another Celtic forum that Tony Mowbray introduced it when he was a player. Now all football teams do it even at the lowest level. It’s obvious that Celtic fans have an affinity with it but do you really believe that we owned it?

Agree with the notion that it's a huge spectacle as our pre-match ritual.

personally as petty as it is I hate when other teams do it against us, makes me want to rip them apart 4 or 5 goals should do the trick! haha

Tony Mowbray invented the huddle in his garage.

Yes a concept, a concept can mean an idea, and it was an idea to do a huddle long before we did. so enough of the patronising *.
