The Big Derk Boerrigter Thread

Can't remember who it was, MIGHT have been Bobby Petta, but when we signed this guy someone came out and said that he was one of the best crossers of a ball in Holland.

Brilliant pace too, been frustrating having him at the club but not being able to get him into the team for a run of games.

Would be good to see an inform Boerrigter, and Forrest on the wings with Commons in behind a front man. Could potentially create tons of chances for the main striker.

 

Great performance and impact from the big man when he came on today. Was great to see him in his natural position as we'll rather than on the right were he's wasted. His crossing is terrific. I would like to see him given a run in the side now.

I think it was De Boer who said it. Good to see him score.

 

It was De Boer and Petta. He's a goal threat as well, that's for sure. He can be in the right places, that is wwhen he is played on the left. That is the most crucial thing.

 

IF, and this is a big IF, Derk can keep fit he might become a good player for us.

 

It's not really a big if though is it? He has a good track record when it comes to staying fit.

 

I'd play him on the left with Balde up front. He looked excellent when he came on today.

We should play Derk in his natural position on the left as he looks devastating there, he was the same against Ross County on the left.
It might mean we have to shift Sammy inwards to an auxiliary striker role, but that might not be a bad thing given how awful Pukki is.

 

Hope the big man can push on from here and get a run in the team.

 

Aye I'd get Pukki to * on Tuesday and have Samaras upfront, Derk on the left, maybe Balde too if we're being ambitious. I think we need big powerful strikers that can attack Derks crosses.

Absolutely delighted for him - start him versus Milan.

 

Hopefully his first goal for the club will do wonders for his confidence, he's not had an easy start here due to niggling injuries.

Really hope he can stay fit and then we might see the very best of him. Looked good yesterday when he came on.

 

Glad for big Derk getting his first goal yesterday. Looked good when he came on. Was whipping in some crackin crosses, would be good to see big Balde getting on the end of them, or the fridge once he's available in January. Just hope he can stay fit now and get a good run.
