Jesus, did he have to tell all of Scottish football that he had a cracked back? How many games will it take for some dunderheid to aim a size 12 in there?

To be fair, his back injury was also widely reported when it happened, so it was hardly going to take Miss Marple to find it out! In fact, before he even mentioned it the press over here had picked up on it.

In the Netherlands Boerrigter is known for his lack of self criticism. It is always someone else his mistake. It's never his fault. He lost credit because someone else(Victor Fischer) was playing better at his position. And that kid is only 18 years old, so he has much more upside. Boerrigter played enough games last year to come back in his best form and shape. It just didn't happen. De Boer is extremely demanding of his players. He wants them to look at their own mistakes, and to work on that. Boerrigter never saw his own mistakes, only other players and other people's faults.

Nevertheless. If he finds his form of 2 years ago, then you've got your selfs a * of a player. But don't expect Derk to blame himself when he had a poor display.

It's interesting to see what bearing this has on Mulgrew's posistion, because he has gone from being our best CB who tbh did have some outstanding and solid games to then become a utility man, looking at what Lenny is doing it is hard to see were Mulgrew fits in, I personally would think if given the right coaching his left peg and defensive ability would make for a great deep lying CDM.

another thing is that Lenny looks to be recruiting characters i.e Derk and Amido two people who seem to very confident in their own ability, think it will turn out to be a great move for all in the end.

    Hope that he starts tomorrow!

Would love to see a front 3 of - Forrest Balde Boerrigter. See what Balde can do with two pacey wingers on either side of him.
