Still couldn't sort out Stokes' behavioural issues though, and dropped him PLENTY of times as a result.

 

Done enough to make sure he got the results on the pitch for us though.

I said it before, but Stokesy being left out is akin to Enrique leaving out Messi last season. Only he saw his error, ronny hasn't and is ending his Celtic career.

I must say I hope Stokes does go to Hibernian on loan for the rest of the season. That would be a great boost for them and might be just the kind of signing that could see them overtake the Zombies and get themselves back in the top flight.

 

Can't see him going to another Scottish team. Management seems intent on playing him against top opposition and apart from the odd game against Rangers or Falkirk he wouldn't get that. I'd imagine him going to the English Championship.

Rumour the deal is completed for him to go to Hibs tonight, on loan.

 

I think best thing for him to do would be to go to Inverness or down south (just to get him used to playing against half decent opposition).

Playing in the Hibs team, unfortunately, won't get him in our side. Scott Allan was the standout player at them last year and he's not getting much game time at all.

If he did go to Hibs though and put the Jambo's out the cup, that would be special. Nearly as good as firing the Hibees into first place :icon_mrgreen:

Just think if he's wanting back into our team then he should be testing and proving himself against better opposition.

 

It is in stokes hands. He needs to knuckle down and drop the attitude and problems he obviously has. Two of the recent managers have seen a side to his character that is problematic. either he shapes up and ships out. no player is bigger than the club.

 

Limited options there.

He will be better going & sort himself out.
It will be up to him whether to come back or not permanently.

Celtic also want first refusal on Jason Cummings as part of the Stokes deal. Hibs told them it would cost them 850,000 - 1M and no less.
